A juvenile Iceland Gull visited Porth Hellick Pool briefly on the 1st and a Black Redstart was at Shark’s Pit with another 2 on Little Porth Beach.

On the 2nd the juvenile Iceland Gull was on the municipal tip, 2 Long-eared Owls were at Trewince, a Blackcap was in Hugh Town and a Firecrest was trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick. The Black Duck was still on Abbey Pool, 3 Black-necked Grebes were off Carn Near and a Spoonbill flew over the island.

The juvenile Iceland Gull remained at the Municipal Tip on Wednesday and Thursday. The Black Duck & a Barnacle Goose were on Abbey Pool, a Long-tailed Duck was off New Grimsby and a Short-eared Owl was at Apple Tree Banks on Wednesday and the 4 Pale-bellied Brent Geese were on the sea off Tean. 2 Black Redstarts were on Porthcressa Beach on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the Black Duck remained on Abbey Pool. The Barnacle goose and 2 Fieldfare were on Tresco on Friday.
