Friday 20th September 2013 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – The first-winter Bonaparte’s Gull was again in Porthcressa Bay briefly and an American Golden Plover and 2 Whimbrels flew over Hugh Town. St. Mary’s – 9 Greenshanks, a Redshank & 2 Snipe were at Porth Hellick Pool, a Spotted Flycatcher was at Carn Friars and a Lapland Bunting was on Peninnis Head. Tresco – 4 Snipe, a Whinchat and a Spotted Flycatcher.
