Todays birding highlights reported at the evening log were:

 There was a report of a light phase Eleanora’s Falcon over the Garrison.

Little Grebe – 2 Tresco, 1 on the Great Pool & 1 on Abbey Pool.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 on the Scillonian crossing.

Spoonbill – 2 immatures Samson.

Marsh Harrier – 1 female St. Agnes.

Osprey – 1 over the Garrison.

Hobby – 1 over the Garrison and 1 Tresco.

Dotterel – 1 on the airfield early morning before moving to the golf course.

American Golden Plover – 1 on the airfield.

European Golden Plover – 2 on the airfield.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper – 1 on the airfield.

Grey Phalarope – 26 on the Scillonian crossing.

Mediterranean Gull – 5 Porthloo.

Turtle Dove – 1 Porth Mellon.

Long-eared Owl – 1 St. Agnes.

Common Swift – 1 ranging over St. Mary’s.

Kingfisher – 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Porthloo and 1 Newford Duck Pond.

Wryneck – 2 St. Agnes,1 Lower Moors and 1 Salakee.

Tree Pipit – 1 Garrison.

Richard’s Pipit – 2 on the airfield.

Yellow Wagtail -1 Porth Hellick.

Black Redstart – 7+ on St. Mary’s, 4 on St.Agnes & 2 on Tresco.

Whinchat – About 20 birds reported across the islands.

Ring Ouzel – 1 Porthloo and 1 Newford duck Pond.

Redwing – 1 Garrison.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Tresco and 1 St. Agnes.

Firecrest – 2 Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Spotted Flycatcher – 10+ on St. Mary’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher – 20+ across the islands.

Brambling – 2 Garrison, 1 Longstone and 1 Holy Vale.

Common Rosefinch – 1 St. Agnes

Lapland Bunting– 2 on St. Agnes and 1 Bryher.

Snow Bunting – 1 Garrison, 3 Old Town and 3 Giant’s Castle.
