St. Mary’s – A Common Sandpiper and 3 Greenshanks were at Porth Hellick. A juvenile Cuckoo was been fed by Rock Pipits near the coastal path by the airfield tuning circle

At sea – A Great Skua, 100+ Manx Shearwaters and 2 Ocean Sunfish were seen from the Scillonian on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
St. Mary’s – 3 Crossbills Trenoweth and a Common Sandpiper & 5 Greenshanks were on Porth Hellick Pool. At sea – A short-range pelagic trip produced 5 European Storm-petrels, 20 Manx Shearwaters and 2 Great Skuas. Also 2 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged and released.
St. Mary’s – 7 Crossbills flew over the Garrison
Bryher – A Balearic Shearwater was ¼ mile northwest of the island. At sea – 20 European Storm-petrels, a Sooty, a Balearic and 500+ Manx Shearwaters were seen from an evening short-range pelagic trip. A Blue Shark was also caught, tagged and released.
St. Mary’s – A Black Kite flew over Hugh Town and headed west over the Garrison. A Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper and 2 Greenshanks were on Porth Hellick Pool. Annet – A Balearic Shearwater was just north of the island.
St. Mary’s – A Great Northern Diver was off Peninnis Head and a Green Sandpiper was at Porth Hellick Pool.
St. Mary’s – The Hobby was still in the Porth Hellick area and 2 Greenshank and a Redshank were on the pool there. At sea – An evening pelagic trip produced 100+ Manx Shearwaters, 10+ European Storm-petrels and 2 Great Skuas. Also seen were 2 Ocean Sunfish, a Minke Whale Read more…
St. Mary’s – A Wood Sandpiper flew over Porthcressa, a Hobby was over Porth Hellick and a Common Swift was over Lower Moors
