A short trip to the far side of Annet to look for a putative Albatross (reported by a local boatman) proved unsuccessful. St. Mary’s – A Common Swift  at Porthloo and a second-summer Mediterranean Gull off Peninnis. Annet – a 1000+ Manx Shearwaters offshore.

  Bryher – A Hooded Crow and a Whimbrel. At sea – Seen on a short-range pelagic trip were a Wilson’s Storm-petrel. 200 European Storm-petrels, 100 Manx shearwaters and 3 Blue Sharks.

St. Mary’s – The only report was 38 Sandwich Terns at Porthcressa

  Inter-island waters – 2 Balearic Shearwaters that are moving around with about 500 Manx Shearwaters were seen off Annet and Samson.
