Merlin – 1 flew from Deep Point towards Porth Hellick Down.
Fin Whale – 1 off Deep Point.
Sunday (21/01)
Marsh Harrier – 1 over the fields at Maypole Triangle.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field at Higher Moors.
Shoveler – A female on Porth Hellick Pool.
Fin Whale – 2, possibly 3 off Deep Point.
Monday (22/01)
Cattle Egret – 1 in front of Longstone Lodge.
Owl sp. – An owl, probably Long-eared or Short-eared was seen briefly at dawn in the half light, flying from Parting Carn towards Carreg Dhu Gardens.
Redwing – 20+ in the horse paddock at Pelistry Stables.
Tuesday (23/01)
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field at Higher Moors.
Fieldfare – 1 on the Garrison playing fields.
Redwing – 10 on the Garrison playing fields.
Wednesday (24/01)
Cattle Egret – 2 in the with cattle in a field south of Longstone Café.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field at Higher Moors.
Thursday (25/01)
Cattle Egret – 2 in the with cattle in a field west of Longstone.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field at Higher Moors.
Great Northern Diver – 2 in Porth Cressa Bay.
Redwing – “100s “ moving through Holy Vale.
Friday (26/01)
Great Northern Diver – 3 together in Porth Cressa.
Woodcock – 2 in the Sunnyside fields.
Humpback Whale – 1 seen from the Garrison and Peninnis.
Fin Whale – 2 seen off Watermill/Innisidgen and then moving along the coast and later seen off Deep Point.
