Surf Scoter – A 1st-winter female was still in Pentle Bay, Tresco,

Common Scoter – 9 off Carn Near, Tresco,

Greylag Goose – 1 in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.

Shoveler – A drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 12+ flew north from Porth Cressa.

Sunday (17/12)

Cattle Egret – 2 were still in field south of Longstone Bungalow.

Spoonbill – 3 on Samson flats.

Yellow-browed Warbler –1 by the Stephen Sussex Hide at Porth Hellick.

Firecrest – 1 in the garden of Longstone Bungalow.

Common Scoter – 9 off Carn Near.

Great Northern Diver – 5 off Bar Point.

Mediterranean Gull – 10 AT Pendrethan.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 10 between Bar Point and Pendrethan.

Whimbrel – 1 on the Wrasse off Pendrathen.

Humpback Whale – 1 breached off the west side of the Garrison and 1 odd Deep Point heading towards the Eastern Isles.

Fin Whale – 1 south of St. Agnes.

Monday (18/12)

Cattle Egret – 2 were still in field south of Longstone Bungalow.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1by the gate to the beach at the end of the Porth Hellick boardwalk,

Greylag – 1 still in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.

Spoonbill – 2 on Sa

Golden Plover – 10 flew over the Airport.

Marlin – 1 at the Airport.

Firecrest – 1 calling in hedges at the Deep Point turning.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 at Higher Moors.

Humpback Whale – 1 was seen off Old Town and then off Peninnis heading west towards Photographs showed it to be Pi.-

Tuesday (19/12)

Spoonbill – 1 on Samson.

Harrier sp. – A Ring-tailed Harrier that flew in off the sea at Pelistry, was probably a Hen Harrier.

Common Buzzard – A large raptor that flew over Airport Lane was thought to be this species.

Wednesday (20/12)

Greylag – 1 still in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.

Cattle Egret – 3 were still in fields south of Longstone Bungalow.

Spoonbill Grey Wagtail – 1 at on Samson.

Hen Harrier – A ringtail was flushed from the trach by Pelistry Beach.

Lapwing – 1 flew over Carn Friars Lane.

Grey Wagtail – 1 at north end of Holy Vale Trail and 1 Porth Hellick Loop.

Humpback Whale – 1 was off Deep Point.

Thursday (21/12)

Greylag – 1 still in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.

Cattle Egret – 3 were still in fields south of Longstone Bungalow.

Great Norther Diver – 1 off Pendrathen.

Mediterranean Gull – 14 Porth Cressa.

Friday (22/12)

Marsh Harrier – 1 over Higher Moors (photo)

Greylag – 1 still in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.

Cattle Egret – 3 were still in fields south of Longstone Bungalow.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Beach (photo).

Lapwing – 1 flew south over Longstone and it or another seen later over Normandy fields.

Whimbrel – 1 at Pendrathen.

Humpback Whale – 1 off the Bartholomew Buoy.
