Cory’s Shearwater – 200 north of St. Martin’s, 30 loafing off Shipman Head, Bryher and 20 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Dotterel – 2 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Woodchat Shrike– 1 still in Content Horse Paddocks.

Wryneck – 2 Tresco, 1 Maypole, 1 St. Martin’s and 1 St. Agnes.

Brent Goose – 1 on the sea near Popplestone Neck, Bryher.

Golden Plover – 2 on the coastal path by Hell Bay, Bryher, 1 on S. Agnes and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Ruff – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 at Bathing House Porth, Tresco.

Little Egret – 3 on Tresco.

Hobby – 1 over Peninnis and it or others over Pelistry and then Content.

Kingfisher – 1 on Abbey Poolo, Tresco.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on St. Martin’s.

Common Nightingale – 1 still north of the airfield north of High Cross Lane.

Whinchat – 4 on Tresco, 5 on St. Martin’s and 2 on St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Porth Hellick, 2 Tresco and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on St. Mary’s, 1 on St.Martin’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Tree Pipit – 1 on Tresco.

Crossbill – 1 flew over the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Nightingale – 1 still north of the airfield north of High Cross Lane but very elusive.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 at Higher Moors.

Whinchat – 2 on St. Mary’s and 1 on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 on St. Mary’s, 3 on Tresco and 1 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 on Tresco and 3 on Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 1 on Bryher.

Siskin – 7 seen over the sea in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sunday (17/09)

Booted Warbler – 1 by the tennis court on the Garrison and then in the scrub by the play park before flying into the horse paddocks and disappearing.

Cory’s Shearwater – 6 off the airfield turning circle.

Wryneck – 1 on Peninnis, 1 at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s and 1 near Popplestone Bay, Bryher.

Green Sandpiper – 2 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Golden Plover – 1 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Hobby – 1 in trees north of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Nightingale – 1 still in a field off High Cross Lane, north of the airfield (photo) and 1 by Bryher Campsite.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew over Town Bay and later seen over Rushy Bay, Bryher.

Firecrest – 1 on the Dead Pine Walk and 1 Higher Moors/Holy Vale.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 Higher Moors/Holy Vale. And 1 calling at Porth Hellick Pool.

Wood Warbler – 1 Higher Moors/Holy Vale.

Common Whitethroat – 1 Content and 2 on Tresco.

Common Redstart – 1 Content.

Whinchat – 3 on St, Mary’s, 5 on Tresco and 4 on Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 7 on St. Mary’s and 5 on Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 4 on St. Mary’s and 5 on Tresco.

Yellow Wagtail – 11 flew northeast over Longstone.

Pied Flycatcher – 7 on St. Mary’s.

Tree Pipit – 1 flew over Peacehaven, Watermill.

Yellow Wagtail – 8 flew over Holy Vale, 2 flew over Peacehaven, Watermill and 4in a field at Normandy.

Tuesday (19/09)

Red-eyed Vireo – 1 on Watch Hill, Bryher was the first American passerine of the autumn.

Wilson’s Snipe – A “possible” candidate on Porth Hellick Pool looked good but was too far away from the hide to nail the ID (photo)

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Cory’s Shearwater – 35 flew past Peninnis.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors.

Wryneck – 3 on St. Mary’s.

Mediterranean Gull – 1 on Par Beach, St. Martin’s.

Dotterel – 2 still on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Bar=tailed Godwit – 1 on St. Agnes

Firecrest – 2 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 2 on Bryher.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on Bryher.

Yellow-browed Warbler – The first of the autumn was one heard in the Porth Hellick pumping station clump.

Common Nightingale – 1 still High Cross Lane, north of the airfield.

Whinchat – 1 at Maypole.

Pied Flycatcher – 2 on St. Mary’s, 2 on Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes.

Spotted Flycatcher – 5 on Bryher, 1 on St.Mary’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Yellow Wagtail – 8 flew out of a cow field west of Longstone Bungalow, 3 were around Porth Hellick Pool, 3 were at Pelistry Riding Stables, 1 on Bryher and 1 was on St. Martin’s cricket pitch.

Lapland Bunting –1 flew over Longstone calling.
