Great White Egret – What was probably yesterday’s bird was viewed distantly from St. Mary’s, sat in a pine at the eastern end of the Great Pool, Tresco

Red Kite – Still a few lingering from last Sunday’s influx.

Golden Oriole – 1 calling from South Hill, Bryher.

Rook – 2 of this Scilly scarcity were in a field at Watermill.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 near Borough Farm, St. Mary’s, and 3 on Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 1 flew north over the Garrison.

Sunday (28/05)

Red Kite – Still a few around.

Hobby – 1 flew north over Maypole and probably the same bird seen later over Porth Hellick Down.

Common Swift – 3 over Holy Vale and 3 over St.Matin’s.

Cuckoo – 1 calling at Watch Hill, Bryher.

Rook – 1 in a garden of the staff accommodation of Star Castle on the Garrison.

Whinchat – 1 on St. Martin’s.

Common Redstart – A female at Newman Battery on the Garrison.

Pied Flycatcher – A pair opposite Redan C on the Garrison

Spotted Flycatcher – 9 on Bryher, 1 on the southern edge of the Garrison and 1 on St.Martin’s

Tree Pipit –1 at Peacehaven, Watermill.

Monday (29/05)

Red Kite – A few continue to linger.

Shoveler– a drake was still on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Hobby –1 over Longstone.

Common Swift –1 over Pump Lane.

Cetti’s Warbler –1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moor.

Pied Flycatcher – A male at Carn Vean.

Tuesday (30/05)

Mystery” Warbler – Am Acrocephalus Warbler was heard behind the chalets just north of Fraggle Rock Café, Bryher. It was thought to be a Marsh Warbler or a Blyth’s Reed Warbler.

Red Kite – Numbers tailing off, fewer the 10 reported today.

Hobby –1 over Innisidgen.

Blue-headed Wagtail – Was on the Project Pool before flying off towards Lower Moors.

Common Swift – 2 over Normandy, 4 over the western end of the Great Pool, 1 over St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes and 1 over Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s. 

Spotted Flycatcher – 3 on Bryher and 1 in a garden of the staff accommodation of Star Castle on the Garrison.

Wednesday (31/05)

Red Kite – Still present in similar numbers to Tuesday.

Common Swift – 1 over Mount Todden.

Cetti’s Warbler– 1 in Old Town

Black Redstart – A male at Woolpack Battery, Garrison.
