Laughing Gull – The adult was still on Gugh on with the Lesser Black-backed Gull colony.

Great Northern Diver – 1 off the Blockhouse, Tresco

Purple Sandpiper – 20+ on Melledgan, Western Rocks and 1 at Drop Nose Point, Gugh,

Hobby – 1 over St, Martin’s and 1 over Gugh.

Common Swift – 1 over Middle Town, St, Martin’s

Common Cuckoo – 1 on the Garrison.

Sunday (14/05)

Laughing Gull – The adult was still on Gugh on with the Lesser Black-backed Gull colony (photo)

Red-backed Shrike – A female was in a field behind the church on St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver – 1 off Steval Point on the Garrison

Mistle Thrush – 1 in an orchard along Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Monday (15/05)

Common Swift – 1 over the Estate Office on Tresco.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 at the Rosehill end of Lower Moors and 1 at the Old Town end.

Tuesday (16/05)

Crane – 1 spent a couple of ours circling over the islands before disappearing (photo). This was only the 7th record for the islands.

Great Northern Diver – 2 off Nut Rock, Tresco.

Common Swift – 3 in the McFarland’s Down area and 2 Rocky Hill.
