Wryneck – 1 at Gimble Porth, Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Shoveler – A pair on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pintail – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Whimbrel – A flock of 40 flew past Porth Cressa towards the Garrison.

Cetti’s Warbler Firecrest – 1 at Rosehill Memorial Gardens.

Firecrest – 1 in the pine belt behind Deep Point.

Black Redstart – A male at Bull’s Porth, St. Martin’s.

Tree Pipit – 1 at Deep Point.

Friday (28/04)

Short-toed Lark – 1 on the grassy track from the end of King Edward’s Road to Peninnis Lighthouse.

Night Heron – An adult flew over Tremelethen Trail late evening and seem to land in the Porth Hellick area.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at end of the eastern runway above Giant’s Castle.

Hoopoe – 1 sat on the Garrison playpark pirate ship.

Cattle Egret – 2 on Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 2 in Pentle Bay, Tresco and 1 near Stony Island.

Shoveler – 3 on the Great Pool and 1 on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pintail – A drake on the Great Pool and 1 on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – 4 on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on the Porth Hellick Pool

Bar-tailed Godwit – 2 on Taylor’s Island, Porthloo.

Common Gull – A second-winter bird on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Common Whitethroat – 1 in song flight by the Heath Centre at the start of King Edward’s Lane, Peninnis, by Porth Hellick Loop and 1 in Carn Friars horse paddock.

Yellow Wagtail – 2 still with cattle at Parting Carn.

White Wagtail – 1 on Tresco.

Saturday (29/04)

Short-toed Lark – 1 on the grassy track from the end of King Edward’s Road to Peninnis Lighthouse.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still in the southern garden on Gugh.

Hoopoe – 1 still present on St. Mary’s in Sally Port, later seen on the Garrison near the Cadet Hut and then on the campsite (photo).

Great Northern Diver – 4 together seen from the Scillonian III between St. Mary’s & St. Agnes.

Tufted Duck – A drake on St. Agnes Big Pool.

European Storm-petrel – 1 seen from the Scillonian III in Scillonian waters.

Golden Plover – 1 in fields at the end of Peninnis.

Sanderling – 6 on Town Beach.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Black-tailed Godwit – 2 summer-plumaged birds on Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Arctic Skua – A “probable” flew north over Hugh Town.

Tree Pipit – 1 at Trewince.

Common Whitethroat – 2 at Tremelethen Farm.

Ring Ouzel – 1 briefly on Newford Island, Porthloo and 1 on the northwest edge of the Golf Course.

Yellow Wagtail – A female at Parting Carn.

Sunday (30/04)

Night Heron – 1 seen briefly flying over Holy Vale.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at end of the eastern runway above Giant’s Castle.

Hoopoe – 1 still around the Garrison and what was probably a different bird in the airport fields above Ennor Close, Old Town.

Cattle Egret – 2 on Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 1 between St. Mary’s and St. Agnes.

Tufted Duck – The drake was still on St. Agnes Big Pool.

Whimbrel – 1 on the beach below the blockhouse on Tresco.

Cuckoo – 1 calling from farmland near blockhouse on Tresco.

Ring Ouzel – 1 on the Golf Course.
