Woodchat Shrike – Still the 3 on St. Mary’s: 1 in Deep Point Quarry, 1 on a fence by the eastern runway on the airfield and 1 in the field opposite Bordeaux Pottery.

Snow Bunting – 1 at Pelistry Riding Stables and late news form Friday (14/0$) 1 on the cricket pitch on St. Agnes.

Cattle Egret – 3 on the island in Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pink-footed Goose – 1 fields east of Little Arthur Farm, St, Martin’s.

Pochard – 2 drakes & a female on Porth Hellick Pool and 4 drakes & 2 females on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 3 off Samson.

Puffin – 35 on Mincarlo and 10 on Annet.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on Annet.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 flew over Bordeaux Pottery towards the airfield.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing in the field next to Old Town Inn and 1 in Lower Moors.

Pied Flycatcher – The first of the year was 1 in fields opposite the entrance to St. Martin’s Campsite.

Tree Pipit – 1 behind the fish & chip shop on St. Martin’s.

White Wagtail – 2 at Porth Askin, St. Agnes.

Vagrant Emperor Dragonfly – 1 in deep Point quarry, 1 on the north end of The Plains, St. Martin’s, and 1 on the south side of the road between the Campsite & Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s.

Sunday (16/04)

Tawny Pipit – 1 seen again on the Golf Course.

Night Heron – 3 flushed from trees north of Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still on the boundary fence between Salakee Down & the airfield, 1 still in Deep Point Quarry, and 2 new birds, 1 in the quarry near Woolpack Battery

& 1 on Gugh.

Cattle Egret – 3 opposite Bordeaux Pottery and 1 at Trewince.

Snow Bunting – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Little Egret – 1 at Porth Hellick and 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pink-footed Goose – 1 on Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s. 

Black-throated Diver – 1 in Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver – 5 between Steval & Samson and 1 off the campsite on St. Agnes.

Purple Sandpiper – 41 Purple Sandpipers on Stony Island.

Whimbrel – 1off Innisidgen, 5 flew north through the Eastern Isles and 10 flew in from the south and landed near Tresco.

Hobby – 1 Parting Carn.

Jackdaw – 2 seen on St. Mary’s and 2 flew east over Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s. 

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 Lower Moors.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 was reeling in Lower Moors.

Sedge Warbler – The first of the year was 1 in Lower Moors.

Tree Pipit – 1 singing at Helvear and 1 Peninnis.

Monday (17/04)

Woodchat Shrike – 1 in front of Carron Farm, St. Martin’s, 1 still in the quarry near Woolpack Battery on the Garrison, 1 still in the quarry at Deep Point, 1 on Salakee Down and what was thought to be the “Bordeaux bird” was found dead near Carreg Dhu

Night Heron – 1 flushed from the leat at Porth Hellick.

Little Ringed Plover – 1 in a ploughed just northeast of Troy Town Maze on St. Agnes. This is a scarce species on Scilly.

Dotterel – 1 calling at 22:05 over Longstone.

Cattle Egret – Up to 5 seen around St. Mary’s.

Great Northern Diver – 8 off the Garrison, 2 off the south end of Tresco and 2 off St. Agnes.

Pochard – A pair were still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Green Sandpiper – 1 flying around at the east end of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick Bay, 1 flying around at the east end of the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes,

Whimbrel – 3 at Little Porth.

Common Tern – 1 Porth Cressa.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 calling in Lower Moors.

Common Whitethroat – 1 by the Reading Room on St. Martin’s.

Sedge Warbler – 1 Lower Moors.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 singing at the north end of Lower Moors behind Sand Banks Farm.

Ring Ouzel –2 at Middle Town, St. Martin’s and 3 at Porth Seal, St. Martin’s.

Common Redstart – 1 at Porth Hellick.

White Wagtail – 3 at Troy Town Campsite St.Agnes.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 on Gugh

Great Northern Diver – 1 just north of Bacon Buoy in the Roads, 1 Crow Sound.

Snow Bunting – 1 on the cricket pitch on St. Agnes (photo).

Pink-footed Goose – 1 still at Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s.

Green Sandpiper – 1 flew towards Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 2 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes and 1 n Porth Cressa.

Whimbrel – 2 on the coastal path at Carn Morval, 1 Bar Point and 2 Periglis, St. Agnes.

Arctic Tern – 1 flew through the. Roads.

Common Buzzard – 1 flew over Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Rook – 1 flew over Gugh. And it our another on the north side of Golf Course.

Reed Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick.

Redwing – 1 on the coastal path at Carn Morval.

Ring Ouzel – 1 on the coastal path at Carn Morval, 2 in the Middle Town pines, St. Martin’s, 1 at Horse Point, St. Agnes and 1 flew through Periglis, St. Agnes.

Black Redstart – 1 on the Heliport fence on Tresco.

Tree Pipit – 1 flew south over Tresco, 1 flew over Little Arthur Farm and 1 Perpitch, both St. Martin’s

Blue-headed Wagtail – 1 Pound Lane, St. Martin’s and a Yellow Wagtail which was probably Blue-headed at Troy Town, St. Agnes.

White Wagtail – 2 Periglis, St. Agnes.
