Wryneck – 1 on the path from Porth Cressa to Buzza Tower, 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors, 1 on St. Martin’s and 3 on Tresco (2 at Borough Farm & 1 at the wood pile behind Pentle Bay)

Spotted Crake – 1 still in the southeast corner of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Shoveler– A female on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Tufted Duck – An eclipse drake on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 5 on Great Pool, Tresco and 1 trapped & ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Ruff – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Black-tailed Godwit – 4 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 50+ in Tresco Channel.

Marsh Harrier – 1 over Gimble Porth, Tresco and in the evening it or another landed between the Dump Clump and Lower Moors Pool.

Common Whitethroat – 2 on Tresco.

Garden Warbler – 1 on Tresco.

Common Redstart – 1 on Tresco and 1 on Bryher.

Whinchat – 2 in a field along Carn Friars Farm Track, 2 in the field behind the hides at Porth Hellick, 2 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors, 1 on , 6 on Bryher and 18 on Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in a field along the track between Porth Hellick & Salakee Farm, 3 on Bryher and 7+ on Tresco

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in a field along the track between Porth Hellick & Salakee Farm,3 on Bryher and 3 on Tresco.

Grey Wagtail – 1 the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors and 1 on Peninnis.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 on Bryher.

Ortolan Bunting – 1 a the field opposite the bottom of Airport Lane.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in the fields opposite the orchard maze along the Carn Friars Farm Track (photo) and in the fields opposite Bishop’s View.

Wryneck – 1 in the orchard maze along the Carn Friars Farm Track, 1 still in the Standing Stones Field, (photo), 1 in the quarry at Deep Point and 1 on coastal path on the west side of Peninnis.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 in the trees on the edge of the school playing field opposite Nowhere.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew east from Lower Moors.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick Bay.

Garden Warbler – 1 Higher Moors.

Wheatear – 150 on the Golf Course.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 on the Golf Course and 1 at the entrance to Carn Friars Farm.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the cow field to the right of the Old Town entrance to Lower Moors, 1 in the Salakee pines, 2 in the trees on the edge of the school playing field opposite Nowhere and 4 on the Golf Course.

Yellow Wagtail – 3 flew northeast over Salakee.

Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 not determined to species (Western or Eastern), was in the pines on Helvear at the back of Peacehaven.

Icterine Warbler – 1 by the school on St.Martin’s.

Short-toed Lark – 1 on the southern runway on the airfield,

Cory’s Shearwater – 12 on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Great Shearwater – 33 on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock and 50 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 60 on the return from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater – 2 on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

European Storm-petrel – 8 on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Mediterranean Gull – 6 0+ in Tresco Channel.

Great Skua – 1 on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Roseate Tern – 1 in Scillonian waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 6 on the Tresco Pools.

Ruff – 1 on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 Carn Friars Farm, 3 in the fields opposite the bottom of Airport Lane, 1 in the Golf Course Pines, 1 at Newford Duck Pond, 2 in the paddocks opposite the pond, 3 in the pines at Helvear, 4 on St. Martin’s, 4 on Bryher and 2 on Tresco.

Tree Pipit – 2 on St. Martin’s.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin – 20 seen on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Blue Shark – 5 caught and released on a birding/fishing/sharking trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Long-tailed Blue – Amazingly 2 of this butterfly, which is very rare on Scilly, turned up on the same day, 1 at Telegraph (photo) and 1 on Tresco.
