Pectoral Sandpiper still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Red-backed Shrike – The juvenile was still in the maze orchard along Carn Friars Farm Track.

Osprey – 1 over St. Agnes.

Great Shearwater – 12 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Manx Shearwater – 50 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

European Storm-petrel – 8 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Yellow-legged Gull – A sub-adult on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Arctic Tern – 1 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Black Tern – 1 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Ruff – 1 still on a small scrape behind the Star Castle staff accommodation, 2 in Lower Moors and 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Little Stint – 2 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool and it or another also seen on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 3 on the Pool and 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors and 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 1 in a field adjacent to Longstone Cottage.

Black-tailed Godwit – 4 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 4 flew past the coastal path below the Golf Course.

Hobby – 1 over the fields behind the David Hunt Hide on Tresco.

Kingfisher – 1 Lower Moors Pool and 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Swift – 1 over Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on Carn Friars Farm

Whinchat – 4 on the coastal path below the Golf Course, 1 perched on a furled net! at Porth Hellick Ringing Station and 1 on Peninnis.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in Lower Moors, 2 in the maze orchard on the Carn Friars Farm and 2 along the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison.

Spotted Flycatcher – 4 in Lower Moors

Tree Pipit – 2 in Lower Moors, 2 in the maze orchard on the Carn Friars Farm and 1 at Porth Hellick.

White Wagtail – 2 Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin– 40 on a sharking/birding trip 3 miles southwest of Bishop Rock.

Friday (02/09)

Ortolan Bunting – 1just west of the Big Pool, St. Agnes

Golden Plover – 1 in a field adjacent to Longstone Cottage.

Ruff – 1 Lower Moors.

Wood Sandpiper – 4 flew southwest over the airfield and 1 at Porth Hellick briefly in the evening.

Green Sandpiper – 1 Lower Moors and 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Water Rail – 1 Lower Moors.

Hobby – 1 flew east over Lower Moors.

Osprey – 1 moving west along the coast from the Daymark on St. Martin’s.

Wryneck – 1 just east of the Big Pool, St. Agnes and at St. Martin’s Cricket Pitch.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 Lower Moors.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station.

Garden Warbler – 1 at Porth Hellick and 1 in the maze orchard on Carn Friars Farm.

Wood Warbler – 1 along New Lane, St. Agnes.

Firecrest – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Whinchat – 1 at Porth Hellick and on the Garrison.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Porth Hellick, 1 Lower Moors, 1 Carn Friars and 1 on the Garrison.

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 Lower Moors and 6 on the Garrison.

Tree Pipit – 1 on the Garrison, 3 at Porth Hellick and 1 trapped and ringed nearby at Porth the Ringing Station.

Saturday (03/09)

Common Rosefinch – A juvenile feeding in bramble scrub near Morning Point was seen later behind the Garrison tennis court.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Lower Moors.

Whimbrel – 1 flew northeast over the Garrison.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s

Great shearwater – 2 seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Kingfisher – 1 Old Town Beach.

Whinchat – 2 Porth Hellick Bank.

Tree Pipit – 2 Porth Hellick Bank.

Baird’s Sandpiper – 1 from the Swarovski Hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 flew southwest over Lower Moors.

Whimbrel – 2 on Porthloo Beach.

Cuckoo – 1 by the Great Pool, Tresco.

Whinchat – 3 on Bryher, 1 in a field on Carn Friars Farm Track and 1 in the Airport fields.

Pied Flycatcher –2 by the Great Pool, Tresco and 2 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 on Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail – 4 in a field on Carn Friars Farm Track and 16 from the Swarovski Hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.

White/Pied Wagtail – c20 from the Swarovski Hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.
