Glossy Ibis – 1 still on Tresco in a field by Rowesfield Cottage.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 near the road on the track to Porth Hellick.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1+ Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors and 2 Porth Hellick.
Whooper Swan – 6 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Long-eared Owl – 1 flew down Church Street, Hugh Town late evening.
Swallow – A late bird at Porth Hellick.
Brambling – 5 at Porth Hellick.
Wednesday (10/11)
Radde’s Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick Loop.
Spoonbill – 3 on Samson Flats.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 Porth Hellick Loop.
Black Redstart – 1 at the airport and 2 below the carpark next to Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Swallow – 2 flew over the path to the municipal dump.
Brambling – 10 on Porth Hellick Beach (photo).
Siskin – Small numbers with Chaffinch flock at Porth Hellick.
Thursday (11/11)
Radde’s Warbler – 1 showed very briefly Porth Hellick.
Spoonbill – 2 on Samson Flats.
Reed Bunting – 1 at Porth Hellick (this is an uncommon bird on Scilly)
Merlin – 1 flew over Lower Moors.
Woodcock – At Lower Moors 1 was near Shooter’s Pool and 1 was in the Standing Stones Field and 4 at Porth Hellick.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 at Porth Hellick.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 6 at Porth Hellick.
Lesser Whitethroat – An “Eastern type” by Higher Moors pumping Station.
Swallow – 1 at Porth Hellick.
Black Redstart – Still 2 below the carpark next to Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Wheatear – 1 still at Giant’s Castle.
Redwing – 200 flew over Porth Hellick.
Brambling – 15 Porth Hellick.
Friday (12/11)
Radde’s Warbler – 1 still Porth Hellick Loop.
Spoonbill – 3 on Samson.
Woodcock – 1 at Watermill cove.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 Porth Hellick Loop.
Swallow – 3 in the Sallyport/Hugh House area.
Black Redstart – 1 at Porthloo.
