A wet and windy day, consequently there were less people in the field and less birds reported,

Spotted Redshank – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 1 on Lower Moors Pool, 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 on the Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 in the scrub near the Dump Clump and 1 on St. Agnes.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 still near Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors.

Quail – 1 on the path near the football pitch on the Garrison.

Turtle Dove – 1 flew over Newford Duck Pond.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose 

Pink-footed Goose – 3 on Tresco, 2 still on the Great Pool and 1 in a field behind Gimble Porth.

Shoveler – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Sooty Shearwater – 6 flew past St. Agnes.

Golden Plover – 10 on the Golf Course.

Whimbrel – 10 roosting at Innisidgen.

Black-tailed godwit – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 12 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Merlin – 1 flew over Town Beach and 1 was on Castle Down, Tresco.

Kingfisher – 1 Lower Moors.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing at Porth Hellick.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 near Grinlinton Farm House, St. Agnes.

Black Redstart – 1 near the Old Town Inn, 2 Partin Carn and 1 Old Grimsby, Tresco

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the Dump Clump.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the Dump Clump and 1 on St. Agnes.

Grey Wagtail – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Brambling – 1 between Nowhere and the Old Town Church and 1 behind the cricket pitch on St. Martin’s.

Siskin – still reported across islands including 60 behind the cricket pitch on St. Martin’s (photo).
