Despite a very wet day birders managed to find/refind a few goodies

Dusky Warbler – 1 still in the tamarisks behind Porthloo Boatsheds

Pallas’s Warbler – 1 in the lighthouse garden on St. Agnes then moving to Porth Killier

American Golden Plover – 1 flew over Peninnis and Hugh Town

Glossy Ibis – 1 on Wingletang St. Agnes which then flew to St. Mary’s, where it was seen at various locations before flying off again to Tresco, where it was seen on the Heliport and then back to St. Mary’s early evening

Short-toed Lark – 1 in fields near Carn Vean Tea Room

Little  Bunting – 1 on the path behind Abbey Pool, Tresco

Greylag Goose  – 1 in fields at Lunnon

Pink-footed Goose – 4 in fields at Lunnon

White-fronted Goose – 2 in fields at Lunnon

Shelduck – 4 Samson, 4 Abbey Pool

Mandarin – The drake of unknown origin again flew into roost on the private pond opposite the Golf Course entrance

Pochard – 2 Great Pool, Tresco

Tufted Duck – 1 Great Pool, Tresco

Common Scoter – A female Watermill Cove

Spoonbill – 2 Samson

Little Egret – 2 Tresco

Buzzard – 1 Old Grimsby, Tresco

Lapwing – 1 flew over Old Grimsby, Tresco

Golden Plover – 1 flew over Town Beach

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 Porthloo              

Jack Snipe – 1 Great Pool, Tresco

Long-eared Owl – 1 on the Dead Pone Walk on the Garrison

Short-eared Owl – 2 at the wood yard/Pentle Bay, Tresco

Swift – A very late individual over the Dump and Buzza Tower

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 Holy Vale, 1 Pool Road, Tresco

Merlin – 1 Great Pool, Tresco

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still behind Longstone Lodge

Skylark – 1 in fields near Carn Vean Tea Room, 3 Tresco

Yellow-browed Warbler – 7 St. Mary’s, 2 Tresco, 2 St. Agnes, and St. Martin’s 

Firecrest – 1 behind the Seven Stones Pub, St. Martins, 2 on the Garrison near Morning Point

Mistle Thrush – 1 Old Grimsby, Tresco

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes

Nightingale – 1 still in gardens at Little Porth

Pied Flycatcher – 1 behind the Seven Stones Pub, St. Martins

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 in Longstone Cottage garden,1 still behind the Seven Stones Pub, St. Martin’s, 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes

Black Redstart – 7 on St. Mary’s, 6 on Tresco

Redstart – 2 at the top of Holy Vale

Whinchat – 1 Middle Town, St. Martin’s

Yellow Wagtail – 1 in the Garrison horse field, 1 Old Town Bay, 1 Pelistry Riding Stables

Brambling – 1 Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s 

Crossbill – 2 in the pines at Bant’s Carn

Reed Bunting – 1 in the field next to Bay View Terrace, Porth Mellon

Snow Bunting – 1 still below Peninnis lighthouse
