Tuesday

The Spotted Sandpiper was still at Porth Hellick, where there were also, 9 Greenshank, a flyover Spotted Redshank, a Wigeon, a Kingfisher, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Whinchat. Elsewhere on St. Mary’s the Curlew Sandpiper was still on Porthloo Beach, a Black Kite  was circling over the island. A male Merlin flew over Newford Duck Pond, a Wryneck, a Pied flycatcher & 2 Spotted Flycatcher were on Carn Friars Farm and 20 Meadow Pipit & 40 Wheatear were on the airfield. 

On Tresco a Black Kite was east of Carn Near, the Temminck’s Stint & 3 Curlew Sandpiper were still by the Swarovski Hide, 2 Yellow Wagtail were on Pool Road, a Spotted Flycatcher was at Old Grimsby and 7 Pied Flycatcher were at Borough Farm/Middle Down.

Cory’s Shearwater was seen on the “ Scilly side” from the Scillonian III on the return trip to Penzance.

Wednesday

The Spotted Sandpiper the Wigeon, the Whinchat and the Cetti’s Warbler were still at Porth Hellick, the Curlew Sandpiper was still at Porthloo, 2 Yellow Wagtail, were on the Airfield, a Barred Warbler, a Redstart & 5 Pied Flycatcher were on the Garrison, with 3 more Pied Flycatcher between Newford Duck Pond and the top of Watermill and another at Lower Moors. A Black Kite was seen over St. Mary’s and it or another was over the Karma Hotel, St. Martin’s.

Curlew Sandpiper & 6 Greenshank were showing from the Swarovski Hide, Great Pool, Tresco.

A Cory’s Shearwater and 5 Sooty Shearwater were seen on the “ Scilly side” from the Scillonian III on the return trip to Penzance.
