Monday – On St. Mary’s 2 Pied Flycatchers were at Rosehill, with another opposite Porth Hellick House and further bird in the sunken garden at the corner of Porthloo Lane & Telegraph. 3 Great & 2 Sooty Shearwaters were seen from Peninnis Head. On Tresco the resident Common Buzzard had been joined by a second bird, there was a family party of 4 Siskins and yet another Pied Flycatcher. The last of the Birders’ Special Pelagics was fairly quiet, just 2 Great & 10 Sooty Shearwaters, 30 European Storm-petrels, a Great Skua and 2 Ocean Sunfish were seen.

Tuesday – On St. Martin’s there were 4 Whinchats, a Wryneck and a Pied Flycatcher. The evening sharking/birding trip produced 12 Great & 8 Sooty Shearwaters, 20 European Storm-petrels, 2 Great Skuas, 15 Atlantic Blue-finned Tuna and 20+ Common Dolphins.
