St Mary’s – A cracking male Belted Kingfisher was found at Porth Hellick at 12:15 and promptly disappeared, it was seen again at various locations around St. Mary’s before it was finally pinned down for a short time on rocks in Porth Hellick Bay, where most birders manage to catch up with it, This was the first record for Scilly and only the fourth for Britain, Also at Porth Hellick a Night Heron flew over just before dusk and elsewhere on the island single Hawfinches were seen at Porth Minnick and Parting Carn.

St. Martin’s – The first-winter Laughing Gull was still on sea-weed below the Karma Hotel.

St. Agnes – The male Woodchat Shrike was still on Wingletang Down
