Tuesdays Birds were:
St Mary’s – The Night Heron was still in Carn Friars/Porth Hellick area in the morning and later on three birds were present there. 2 Lesser Redpolls were at Porth Hellick.
St Agnes – The Short-toed Lark was still on Wingletang.
Tresco – A Whimbrel and 3 Common Swift
Wednesdays Birds were:
St Mary’s – 2 White Storks flew over the airport at 1330hrs. This is a mega-rare species for the islands and most local birders would like to have added it to their Scilly list, however, the birds were only seen by two visiting birders, holidaying on St Marys! Elsewhere, 2 Night Herons were still in the Carn Friars area and a Lesser Redpoll was at Lower Moors
St Agnes – 3 Whimbrels were on the islands and the Short-toed Lark was still on Wingletang.
