Monday 27th May – Sunday 2nd June 2024 – IoS Bird Sightings

Monday 20th – Sunday 26th May 2024 – IoS Bird Sightings

Monday (20/05) Bee-eater – 1+ flew north over higher Moor in the evening. Red-rumped Swallow – 1 on wires at the road entrance to Porth Hellick Nightjar– 1 heard  the churring from the path to Bant’s Carn from Telegraph. It was also heard in the same area on Sunday night. The DNA analysis of sample from the “Porth Hellick” Flycatcher suspected to be a Mediterranean Flycatcher have been received. Monday (01/04) Common Crane – 2 were reported from Bryher early morning and they then flew off.
