Upland Sandpiper – 1 was still on St. Agnes.

Subalpine Warbler  – 1 was still on the Garrison ranging widely in the gorse between the Campsite, Morning Point and Woolpack Point (photo). The call and outer tail in photos would suggest Western.

Red-backed Shrike – The first-winter bird was still in Browarth Fields, St. Agnes.

Short-toed Lark  – 1 still around Peninnis Lighthouse.

Lapland Bunting –– 1 still around Peninnis Lighthouse.

Glossy Ibis –  1 on Tresco cricket pitch,

Great White Egret  – 1 in the field by the Fire Station on St . Martin’s and it or another was in Lower Moors later in the day.

Common Redstart – 1 Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher  – 1 on St. Agnes.

Sunday (27/09)

Upland Sandpiper – 1 still on St. Agnes.

Western Subalpine Warbler  – 1 was still on the Garrison.

Cory’s Shearwater – 20 past Peninnis between 09:00 & 09:55.

Sooty Shearwater – 9 past Peninnis between 09:00 & 09:55.

Balearic Shearwater – 2 past Peninnis between 09:00 & 09:55.

Manx Shearwater –past Peninnis between 09:00 & 09:55.

Great Skua –past Peninnis between 09:00 & 09:55.

Yellow-legged Gull – 1 on the rocks in Porth Cressa.

Glossy Ibis –  1 on Porth Hellick Pool and it or another in a field along Green Lane.

Cattle Egret – 2 roosting with gulls in on the east side of Porth Cressa, 1 with cattle at Parting Carn and 6 in a field to the rear of Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Turtle Dove – 1 still in a field opposite the entrance to Golf Course.

Red-backed Shrike – The first -winter bird was till by the bulb dump at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Firecrest – 2 at Porth Hellick House, 2 Carreg Dhu and  2 on the Peninnis Farm Trail.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in bushes by Shooters’ Pool, Peninnis.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes.

Common Redstart – 1 in a field at Parting Carn, 1 at Pelistry Riding Stables and 1 on the Peninnis Farm Trail.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 flew over the Garrison.

Common Rosefinch – 1 round the houses on Gugh.

Lapland Bunting – 1 near the lighthouse on Peninnis and 1 on the airfield.

Snow Bunting – 1 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher and 1 on the south end of King Edward’s Road, Peninnis (photo)

Monday (28/09)

Western Subalpine Warbler  – 1 was still on the Garrison.

Short-toed Lark  – The bird around Peninnis Lighthouse was joined by a second individual in the evening.

Common Rosefinch – 1 still in the garden of the second house on Gugh and it or another seen in the afternoon just east of Troy Town Maze, St. Agnes.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 in on the Golf Course.

Lapland Bunting – 1 still near the lighthouse on Peninnis and 1 still on the airfield.

Snow Bunting – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Glossy Ibis – 2 in a grassy field at Normandy and 2 were on Bryher Pool.

Cory’s Shearwater – 3 flew west past Giant’s Castle.

Whimbrel – 5 at Porthloo.

Osprey – 1 circled over Porthloo and then flew high towards Tresco and it was also seen in flight over Bant’s Carn.

Short-eared Owl – 1 at Kittydown.

Kingfisher – 1 by the lifeboat station and 1 Porth Cressa.

Turtle Dove – 2 in the rolled field opposite Telegraph Tower (photo).

Wryneck – 1 above Buzza Quarry.

Skylark – 5 on the airfield and 1 on the Golf Course.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on Pungies Lane.

Firecrest – 1 Rocky Hill and 3 in bushes at the Maypole/Holy Vale junction.

Spotted Flycatcher – 3 on St. Martins.

Pied Flycatcher – On St, Agnes 1 was behind Browarth Fields and 1 was near the Parsonage.

Common Redstart – 1 in a field next to Peninnis Farm, King Edwards Road, 2 at the Riding Stables, 1 at the Telegraph end of Pungies Lane, 1 Browarth Fields, St. Agnes and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Yellow Wagtail – 2 at the Riding Stables.

Migratory Locust – 1 was found on Shipman Head Down, Bryher (photo). This is a rare species both on Scilly and nationally.

Tuesday (29/09)

Short-toed Lark  – 2 still on Peninnis.

Little Bunting – 1 on Peninnis Farm Trail.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still by the bulb dump at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Lapland Bunting – 1 on Peninnis.

Snow Bunting – 1 at Popplestone Bay, Bryher (photo).

Yellow-browed Warbler – The first of the autumn was heard calling at the junction of Telegraph Road and Carn Friars Lane.

Glossy Ibis – 2 in a grassy field at Normandy.

Cory’s Shearwater – 1 close in flew west past Giant’s Castle.

Red-throated Diver – 1 just offshore at Porthloo.

Little Grebe – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 at Porthloo Beach.

Whimbrel – 1 at Porthloo and 6 at Bar Point.

Kingfisher – 1 on the rocks blow King Charles Battery on the Garrison.

Turtle Dove – 2 still in the rolled field opposite Telegraph Tower, 1 still in the field opposite to the entrance to the Golf Course and 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.

Firecrest – 1 in the Dump Clump and 1 at Longstone.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Salakee.

Common Redstart  – A female was at Pelistry Riding Stables.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 at Porthloo Beach.
