Marsh Harrier – 1 flew north over Porth Hellick Pool.

Pochard – A drake was on Porth Hellick Pool.

Black-throated Diver – 1 was off South Beach, Tresco.

Whimbrel – 7 at Deep Point.

Tuesday (31/03)

Merlin  – 1 was at Telegraph.

Common Gull – 2 Porth Cressa Bay.

Great Skua  – 2 in Scilly waters were seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Puffin – 11 in Scilly waters were seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Common Sandpiper  – 1 was at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Wheatear – 1 was at Browarth, St. Agnes.

White Wagtail – 2 Porthloo.

Grey Wagtail – 1 Little Porth.

Wednesday (01/04) 

Dartford Warbler – 1 still on St. Martin’s, from the track on the north side of John Batty’s Hill.

Black-throated Diver – 1 was seen from a boat between St. Mary’s and Tresco and later seen in Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver – 1 off Lower Town Quay, St. Martin’s.

Marsh Harrier  – 1 was over Gugh.

Pochard – The drake was still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Great White Egret – 1 at the Creeb and it or another in Old Town Bay and on Porth Hellick Pool.

Whimbrel  – 10 at Deep Point.

Rook – 1 flew low over Parson’s Field, Hugh Town towards the Garrison. This is a scarce bird on Scilly

Sand Martin – 4 over Porth Hellick Pool.

Swallow – 3 at Deep Point, 3 Porth Hellick Pool, 1 ‘in off’ at Giant’s Castle and 1 over Parting Carn chicken filed.

Wheatear – 1 at Giant’s Castle and 1 at Deep Point.

Thursday (02/04)

Dartford Warbler  – The male was still on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Black-throated Diver – 1 was again in Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Marsh Harrier  – 1 flew over Holy Vale, Porth Hellick and Old Town before flying over Gugh and on to Annet.

Merlin  – 1 over the Garrison and then onto St. Agnes.

Purple Sandpiper  – 2 on Menawethan, Eastern Isles.

Manx Shearwater – 60 in Scilly waters were seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sandwich Tern  – 2 off Innisidgen.

Rook  – 2 on the Golf Course

Friday (03/0

Great White Egret   – 1 in Old Town Bay,

Merlin   – 2 on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Swallow   – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Sand Martin – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Saturday (04/04)

American Wigeon  –  A first-winter drake (photo) was found on Porth Hellick Pool and showed well. This was the first record since 2019.

Great White Egret  – 1 at Porth Hellick Pool.

Whimbrel – 10 at Deep Point.

Swallow  – 5 Porth Hellick Beach.

Sunday (05/04)

American Wigeon  – Still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Woodchat Shrike  – 1 was in the paddock below Porth Hellick House and the flew into the pines by the house.

Dartford Warbler  – 1 was still on St. Martin’s (photo).

Cattle Egret  – 1 was at Rowesfield, Tresco.

Rook  – 3 flew over Newford Duck Pond.

Swallow – 5 overt Porth Hellick Pool and 8 on the telegraph wires below Porth Hellick House.

Redwing  – 4 flew over Newford Duck Pond.
