Common Scoter – 5 off the Eastern Isles.
Firecrest – 1 at Longstone.
Fin whale – 1 off Deep Point.
Humpback Whale – 1, identified as Pi, was northeast of Tearing Ledge, St. Martin’s.
Short-beaked Common Dolphin – A 1000+! off St. Mary’s.
Monday (19/01)
Little Grebe – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.
Great White Egret – 1 over Longstone at dusk.
Fin whale – 1 off Porth Minnick.
Tuesday (20/01)
Great White Egret – 1 again flew over Longstone at dusk.
Firecrest – 1 at Longstone.
Wednesday (21/01)
Short-eared Owl – 1 over the iris field opposite the turning to the airport, which then flew off towards Lower Moors.
Fin whale – 1 off Porth Hellick Down.

Fin whale – 1 off Porth Hellick Down and later close in off Deep Point (photo)

Jack Snipe – 1 flushed from the pool in the Standing Stones Field,
Little Egret – 14 at Porthloo.
