Spotted Sandpiper – 1 on Gugh Bar.

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 was still in the pines on Pound Lane, St. Martin’s.

Melodious Warbler – 1 was again I the pines at the back of the Garrison Tennis Courts.

Dotterel – 2 still on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s and 1 on the Golf Course in the evening.

Wilson’s Storm-petrel – 2 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

European Storm Petrel – 20 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Cory’s Shearwater – c100 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s, 28 flew west past Peninnis between 09:10 & 10:40 and  a “steady stream” past St. Agnes.

Great Shearwater – c240  on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater –4 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s, 3 flew west past Peninnis between 09:10 & 10:40 and 1 past Horse Point, St. Agnes

Balearic Shearwater – 1 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Great Skua – 4 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Mediterranean Gull –  4 Porthloo.

Cattle Egret – 1 in a field on Telegraph Road.

Ruff – 1 on the beach below the campsite on St, Agnes.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on Periglis, St. Agnes.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 flew south over St. Martin’s in the evening.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 on St. Martin’s Flats.

Kingfisher – 1 in Old Town Bay.

Wryneck – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field, 1 on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis, 1 at Carn Gwaval School, 1 on Peninnis Allotments and 1 still at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Common Whitethroat – 1 near the leat at Porth Hellick.

Spotted Flycatcher  – 7 on St. Mary’s.

Pied Flycatcher  – 7 on St. Mary’s and 1 above Little Arthur.

Brambling – 1 feeding by the Stephen Sussex hide at Porth Hellick Pool.

Grey Wagtail – 1 flew over Longstone Cottage, 2 flew east over the garden of the Star Castle staff accommodation on the Garrison and 1 in Tresco Abbey Gardens.

White Wagtail – 5 at Porthloo.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin –15 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Blue Shark – 2 on a pelagic trip 5 miles northeast of St. Mary’s.

Friday (19/09)

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 was still on St. Martin’s but had moved to the 2nd set of pines to the west of Pound Lane.

Melodious Warbler – 1 was again on the Dead Pine Walk on  the Garrison.

Cory’s Shearwater – 4 past Peninnis between 14:30 & 16:15 and 60 past Deep Point between 18:00 & 19:30 and 2 flew past the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Great Shearwater – 1 past Peninnis in the afternoon.

Sooty Shearwater – 1 past Peninnis  between 14:30 & 16:15 15 and 2 past Deep Point between 18:00 & 19:30.

Great Skua – 1 chasing a Cory’s of Peninnis.

Arctic Skua – 3 past Peninnis between 14:30 & 16:15 and 8 past Deep Point between 18:00 & 19:30.

Grey Phalarope – 1 past Deep Point in the evening.

Dotterel – 1 still on the Golf Course and 2 still near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Grey Plover –1  Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 2 on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Wryneck – 1 still in the scrub between the airfield turning circle & Giant’s Castle, 1 still in the Standing Stones Field,  1 on the lower coastal path about 100 metres south of Halangy, 1 on the track to Pentle Bay, Tresco, 1 still at Browarth & 1 St. Warna’s Cove, both St. Agnes, 1 flew from the junction of tracks to the Daymark and Bread & Cheeses cove. St. Martin’s and 1 still in a garden at Stinky Porth, Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 6 on St, Mary’s, 8 on St. Martin’s and 2 on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher –  4 on St. Mary’s, 8 on St. Martin’s and 2 on Tresco.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 along the track north of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Siskin – 1 flew northeast over Longstone.

Whinchat  – 1  on St. Martin’s.

Saturday (20/09)

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – –1 was still in the 2nd set of pines to the west of Pound Lane, St. Martin’s.

Melodious Warbler – 1 still in the scrub on the Dead Pine Walk, behind the tennis court.

Dotterel – 3 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Common Scoter – 1 Western Rocks.

Cory’s Shearwater – 1 off Giant’s Castle

Arctic Skua – 2 dark morph birds southeast of Melledgan and 3 on the sae of Giant’s Castle which then flew west,

Marsh Harrier – 1 over Annet.

Kingfisher – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wryneck – 1 still in the scrub between Giant’s Castle & the airfield turning circle, 1 still in the Standing Stones Field, 1 on the Dead Pine Walk and 1 on the west side of Old Town Bay

Common Sandpiper  – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Mediterranean Gull – 3 on St. Martin’s.

Spotted Flycatcher – 11 on St. Mary’s and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher – 4 on St. Mary’s and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Common Redstart –1 in a field on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Whinchat – 1 in the Standing Stones Field.

Tree Pipit– 1 at the south end of the Porth Hellick pine belt.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Sunday (21/09)

Cory’s Shearwater  – 9 flew past Peninnis (and 1270 distant large Shearwaters) between 07:35 to 09:05. Also c40 off Horse Point, St. Agnes with more distant  large Shearwaters 

Great Shearwater  – 1 flew past Peninnis.

Dotterel – 3 on Castle Down, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 4 on the airfield.

Sooty Shearwater  – 7 past Peninnis between 07:35 to 09:05.

Spotted Redshank – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool (photo) and from timings, what was probably a second bird over the airfield.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on St. Agnes.

Green Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 on St. Agnes.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Whimbrel – 2 on Porthloo Beach.

Kingfisher – 1 flew across Old Town Bay.

Wryneck – 1 in a field at Carn Vean, 1 still in the Standing Stones Field, 1 in the gorse above Redan D on the Garrison Walls and 1 feeding on the edge of the road between the hospital and Buzza Tower.

Firecrest – 1 Carn Leh.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 was seen briefly 100 metres west of Morning Point.

Spotted Flycatcher – 4 in a field on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis and 4 on St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher – 3 on St. Agnes.

Common Redstart – 1 in the field behind Porth Minnick (photo), 1 in a field on King Edward’s Road. Peninnis and 1 at Porthloo/

Whinchat – 1 in the field behind Porth Minnick 1 on Porth Hellick Beach, 1 on Peninnis 1 on St. Agnes.

Tree Pipit – 1 near St. Martin’s Campsite,

Yellow Wagtail – 1 in a field on King Edward’s Road. Peninnis and 1 a greyish individual with cows between Parting Carn Farm and Carreg Dhu.

Lapland Bunting – 1 in fields near Carn Vean.

Brambling – A male in the gorse bushes behind the Stephen Sussex Hide, Porth Hellick.

Monday (22/09)

Melodious Warbler – 1 still on the Dead Pine Walk.

Woodchat Shrike – A juvenile on Back Lane, Tresco.

Lapland Bunting – 1 still on Castle Down.

Wryneck – 1 above Shark’s Pit, 1 on Gugh and 1 just past Olivia’s Kitchen, Bryher.

Dotterel – Still 1 on Castle Down, Tresco.

Grey Plover – 1 on the beach below Bant’s Carn.

Golden Plover – 4 on Giant’s Castle.

Little Stint – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Purple Sandpiper –4 on the Western Isles.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Great Skua – 2 flew west past Peninnis.

Common Whitethroat – 1 in a field behind Porth Minnick.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on the edge of the Garrison Playing Field.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Peacehaven, 1 on the beach at the bottom of Watermill, 1 Green Farm and 2 on the edge of the Garrison Playing Field.

Common Redstart – A female in a garden on Ram’s Valley, Hugh Town. A female at Periglis, St. Agnes

Whinchat – 2 in a field behind Porth Minnick, 1 on the edge of the Garrison Playing Field and 2 on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on the edge of Porth Hellick Pool.
