Buff-breasted Sandpiper – 1 on Tresco cricket pitch at Old Grimsby.

Wilson’s Storm-petrel  – 1  seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

European Storm-petrel  – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Cory’s Shearwater – 42 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 3 on the return to Penzance.

Great Shearwater  – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Balearic Shearwater  – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Long-tailed Skua  – An immature was seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Grey Phalarope – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Golden Plover – 2 near the Daymark , St. Martin’s.

Ruff – 1 on Periglis, St, Agnes.

Knot – 7 on Periglis, St, Agnes.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Periglis, St, Agnes.

Common Sandpiper – 2 on St. Mary’ and 4 on St. Agnes.

Whimbrel – 2 Watermill cove

Wryneck –1 in gardens on Sallyport, 1 in the scrub by the airport turning circle, 1 in the Standing Stones Field, 1 at the bottom of Cove Vean, St. Agnes and 1 at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Melodious – A “probable” was seen briefly in the pines behind the Garrison tennis court.

Spotted Flycatcher  – 5 on St, Mary’s, 1 St. Agnes and 5 Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 12 on St. Mary’s, 3 St. Agnes, 1 St. Martin’s and 5 Bryher.

Sunday (14/09)

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 back at Carn Leh, Old Town in the evening.

Dotterel – 2 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Cory’s Shearwater – 100+ flew close in past Horse Point, 20 in a raft just south of Gugh and  1 close in past Old Town Bay.

Great Shearwater – 1 flew close in past Horse Point.

Golden Plover – 1 on the airfield and 1 on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 still on Periglis beach, St. Agnes.

Common Sandpiper – 3 at Carn Leah.

Hobby – 1 flew low over the Turk’s Head pub on St, Agnes.

Wryneck – 1 in a field from the coastal path just south of Carn Leh.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on St. Mary’s and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher – 6 on St. Mary’s, 1 on St. Agnes and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Whinchat – 1 at Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on Old Town Beach.

Monday (15/09) 

Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still at Carn Leh, Old Town.

Cory’s Shearwater – 18 flew past Giant’s Castle between 08:30 and 09:3 0, 20 past Horse Point, St. Agnes and 3 off Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Dotterel – 1 on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Grey Phalarope – 1 in the Roads, 1 near Newman Island and 1 off King Charles’ Battery, on the Garrison.

Lapland Bunting – 1 on the main path to Castle Down, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 2 in Old Town Bay.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Whimbrel – 2 in Porth Hellick Bay and 1 St. Martin.

Little Egret – 4 in Old Town Bay and 1 flew over Porth Hellick Pool

Kingfisher – 1 Old Town Bay.

Wryneck– 1 still in the field south of Carn Leh, 1 in the Standing Stones Field and 1 in the field at the corner of the turning to Carn Vean Tea rooms.

Firecrest – 1 by Watermill Cottage.

Spotted Flycatcher – 6 on St. Mary’s  and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher – 5 on St. Mary’s, 3 St. Martin’s and 1 St. Agnes.

Whinchat – 1 in the field south of Carn Leh.

Grey Wagtail – 1 Old Town Beach.

Tuesday (16/09)

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 was in the pines on Pound Lane, St. Martin’s.

Icterine Warbler – 1 at the southwest end of Bryher.

Dotterel – 2 on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

European Storm-petrel – 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Cory’s Shearwater – 40 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance and 20 off Deep Point in the evening.

Great Shearwater – 10 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Arctic Skua – A pale morph bird was harrying terns off Deep Point.

Black Tern – 4 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Mediterranean Gull – 22 in Pilchard Pool, Porth Cressa.

Little Egret – 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Porth Cressa and on Bryher 3 on Stinky Porth & 1 on the Pool.

Ruff – 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on St. Agnes.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 5 on Stinky Porth Bryher.

Wryneck – 1 still in the field along the coastal path south of Old Town Churchyard, 1 in the paddock at the junction of the path to Mount Todden and Pelistry, 1 still at Browarth, St. Agnes and on Bryher, 1 near Olivia’s Kitchen & 1 near Anneka’s Quay.

Firecrest – 1 at Longstone. 

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 Parting Carn

Pied Flycatcher – 1 Parting Carn, 2 at Halangy Down, 1 in bushes by Newford Duck Pond 1 Higher Moors and 2 on St. Agnes.

Gret Wagtail – 1 on the edges of Lower Moors Pool and 1 Porth Hellick.

Brambling – A male in a field on the southern side of Kitty Down.

Wednesday (17/09)

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 was in the pines on Pound Lane, St. Martin’s.

Corncrake – 1 on the boardwalk near the Stephen Sussex Hide, Porth Hellick.

Cory’s Shearwater – 200+ flew west past Horse Point, St. Agnes 10:30 to 11:30 and 50 past Deep Point.

Great Shearwater – 170 flew west past Horse Point, St. Agnes 10:30 to 11:30 and 3 past Deep Point.

Balearic Shearwater – c30 flew west past Horse Point, St. Agnes 10:30 to 11:30

Sooty Shearwater – 1 flew west past Horse Point, St. Agnes 10:30 to 11:00 and 1 past Deep Point.

Great Skua – 2 flew west past Horse Point, St. Agnes 10:30 to 11:30

Whimbrel – 1 flew past Deep Point.

Kingfisher – 1  flew past Bryher Dump.

Wryneck – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field. 1  on the path NNW Little Arthur Farm. St. Martin’s and on Bryher 1 on Veronica Farm & 1 in a garden above Stinky Porth.

Spotted Flycatcher  – 4 on Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher  – 2 on Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes and 2 on Bryher.

Flava” Wagtail  – 1 with cows in the field behind St. Martin’s fire station.

White Wagtail – 2 on Bryher

Grey Wagtail – 1 flew over Bryher Pool.
