Wednesday (28/05)

Purple Haron – 1 at Porth Hellick Pool in the evening.

Pomarine Skua – 1 was seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III, on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Great White Egret  – On St. Mary’s there were reports from Porthloo & Porth Cressa and on St. Agnes there were reports from the quay and Porth Killier. Probably involving 2 birds.

Little Egret – 1 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – 3 drakes and a female with 4 ducklings on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Purple Sandpiper – 8 were on rocks at the south end of Annet.

Redpoll – 1 flew over Porth Hellick.

Thursday (29/05)

Great White Egret – 1 at Halangy.

Hen Harrier – The female was seen near Burnt Hill, St. Martin’s.

Hobby – 1 on Bryher.

Whimbrel – 2 flew over Carn Thomas.

Friday (30/05)

Hobby – 1 flew over Hugh Town Post Office and it or another was seen later over the Garrison

Great Northern Diver – 1 near Annet.

Purple Sandpiper – 6+ at the northern end of Annet.

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Saturday (31/05)

Marsh Warbler – 1 in bracken in a pig field between Englishman’s Point and the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Hobby – 1 flew over the Golf Course and 1 was seen over the Garrison in the evening.

Whimbrel – 2 at Browarth, St. Agnes.

Sunday (01/06)

Black Guillemot – 1 still of Round Island.

Pink-footed Goose   – 1 in the field by the church on Tresco.

Hobby  – 1 flew over the airport terminal building and 1 was perched in a tree at Holy Vale.

Swift – 5 around the church on Tresco.

Cuckoo  – 1 calling from the hillside above St. Martin’s Vineyard.

Spotted flycatcher  – 1 at Higher Moors.

Monday (02/06)

Brambling – a Cracking summer plumage male was by the ponds in Rosehill Memorial Gardens (photo).

Great Northern Diver  – `1 Spencer’s Ledge.

Pink-footed Goose   – 1still  in the field by the church on Tresco.

Pochard – 3 drakes and a female with 4 ducklings on Abbey Pool, Treco.

Little Egret – 2 on Tresco.

Whimbrel – 1 on Gleaner Beach, Tresco.

Hobby  – 1 over the Garrison and it or another over the airfield,

Tuesday (03/06)

Common Tern– c20 over the south end of Annet.

Hobby – 1 over Helvear and 1 over the Garrison.
