Sooty Shearwater – 5 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Manx Shearwater – 13 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
European Storm-petrel – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Grey Phalarope – 1 flew south in the Roads below Star Castle.
Skylark – 7 on the airfield.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 still at Newford Duck Pond and 1 still in Lower Moors.
Firecrest – 1 at Newford Duck Pond, 1 near the Garrison Tennis Court and 3 Lower Broome, Garrison Walls.
Black Redstart – 2 on Porth Mellon Beach, 3 below Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Redpoll – 1 flew into a window at Cadwallon on Church Road. It was released after recovering.
Sunday (02/11)
Arctic Redpoll – 1 was found and photographed on the coastal path north of Giant’s Castle. It then flew towards Porth Hellick but could not be relocated. This only the fourth record for Scilly and the first since 2012, when was seen on Tresco on October 4th (photos) The photographs showed the bird to be the form hornemanni.
Bluethroat – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.
Hoopoe – 1 still on the Garrison.
Wryneck – 1 still on Peninnis 100 metres north of the lighthouse.
Great Northern Diver – 1 flew over Hugh Town and out over Porth Cressa.
Wigeon – An eclipse drake was on Porth Hellick Pool.
Great White Egret – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay.
Little Egret – 2 in Porth Hellick Bay.
Golden Plover – 5 on the airfield.
Merlin – 1 was trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station.
Skylark – 14 on the airfield.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 still at Newford Duck Pond, 1 still in Lower Moors and 1 calling in Holy Vale.
Firecrest – 1 still at Newford Duck Pond, 4 at Salakee Farm and 3 Carn Friars Farm.
Black Redstart – 2 Porth Cressa and 1 Porthloo.
Brambling – 1 in Lower Moors and 1 in the Tremelethen hen field.
Siskin – 10 at Trenoweth.
Redpoll – 1 in Lower Moors
Snow Bunting – 1 on coastal rocks just east of Clapper Rocks, Porth Hellick.

Pomarine Skua – 2 between 07:20 & 09:10 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle.
Mediterranean Gull – 6 in Porth Mellon.
Arctic Skua – 1 between 07:20 & 09:10 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle and 1 between 15:00 & 16:15 on a seawatch from Peninnis Head.

Little Grebe – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay.

Spotted Flycatcher – A very late bird was in the orchard maze on Carn Friars Farm.
Tuesday (04/11)
There were very few reports on a wild, windy and rainy day.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in Lower Moors.
Kingfisher – 1 in Hugh Town Harbour.
Swallow – 2 late birds were seen over Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Grey Wagtail – 1 in Lower Moors.
Siskin – 3 at Newford Duck Pond and 1 flew over Old Town Church

Whinchat – 1 still at the west end of Porth Mellon.
Grey Wagtail – 1 at Shooters’ Pool.
Brambling – 1 over Holy Vale, 1 over Higher Moors, 1 Watermill and “several” with Chaffinches on Peninnis.
Siskin – 40+ on Peninnis and 50 at Porth Hellick.

Olive-backed Pipit – 1 in the garden of Longstone Cottage.
Ring-necked Duck – A first-winter drake was found on Porth Hellick Pool (photo) and then flew into Porth Hellick Bay and finally flew off east over Porth Hellick Down.
