Dusky Warbler – A very elusive bird calling on Pool Road, Tresco.

Bluethroat – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Hoopoe – 1 still on the Garrison.

Great White Egret – 1 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 still on Tresco.

Spoonbill – 2 on Samson Flats.

Wigeon – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – A summer-plumage bird was in Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Arctic Skua  – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Puffin – 4 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Raven – 1 near the Daymark, St. Martin’s.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on Pool Road, Tresco,  another (ringed bird) near the David Hunt Hide, Tresco, 1 Abbey Crossroads, Tresco and 1 Newford Duck Pond.

Lesser Whitethroat  – 1 in the Dump Clump.

Firecrest – 1 by Shooters’ Pool. 

Black Redstart  – 2 Porth Mellon, 2 Porthloo, 1 Bryher and 1 Tresco.

Tree Pipit  – 1 flew in off the sea at the end of Peninnis

Snow Bunting  – 2 on Castle Down, Tresco (photo) and 3 on the down above Seven Stones, St. Martin’s/

Thursday (30/10) 

Bluethroat – 1 still on Porth Hellick Beach.

Hoopoe – 1 still on the Garrison.

Cattle Egret  – 1 near the Old Blockhouse, Tresco.

Little Egret – 13 at Porthloo.

Great Northern Diver  – 1 off Innisidgen.

Great Shearwater – 3 on a 3.5 hour sea-watch from Peninnis.

Sooty Shearwater – 9 on a 3.5 hour sea-watch from Peninnis and 3 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle.

Manx Shearwater – 23 on a 3.5 hour sea-watch from Peninnis and 12 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle.

Great Skua – 1 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle.

Arctic Skua – 3 on a 3.5 hour sea-watch from Peninnis and 3 on a seawatch from Giant’s Castle.

Whimbrel  – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Bar-tailed Godwit  – 1 Pendrathen

Merlin  – 1 Trenoweth

Kingfisher – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 1 at Newford Duck Pond, 1 Trenoweth and 2 Tresco.

Firecrest  – 2 by the dump, 2 Borough Farm.

Ring Ouzel  – 1 Trenoweth.

Black Redstart  – 2 on Porth Mellon Beach, 1 Porthloo, 1 Old Town and 1 Halangy.

Brambling  – 1 still in the Standing Stone Fields and 2 Rocky Hill.

Redpoll  – 1 Porth Hellick.

Siskin  – 12 on St. Mary’s.

Snow Bunting  – Still 1 on Castle Down, Tresco

Friday (31/10)

Bluethroat – 1 on Porth Hellick Beach.

Hoopoe – 1 still on the Garrison.

Leach’s Petrel – 1 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis and1 close inshore off Horse Point St. Agnes.

Great Shearwater – 8 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis.

Sooty shearwater – 9 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis and 2 past Horse Point, St. Agnes.

Manx Shearwater – 23 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis.

Great Skua – 2 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis.

Arctic Skua – 6 on a 4.25 hour sea-watch from Peninnis.

Great White Egret  – 1 roosting on Abbey Pool, Tresco and it later flew over St. Mary’s.

Cattle Egret – 2 still on Tresco.

Little Egret  – 20 roosting on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porthloo.

Raven – 1 over New Grimsby, Tresco.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 still at Newford Duck Pond, 1 at Rosehill, 1 Mount Todden, 1 Lower Moors and 1 still on Pool Road, Tresco.

Firecrest – 9 on Tresco, 1 Old Town and 1 Buzza.

Black Redstart – 3 in front of Tregarthen’s Hotel, 2 Porth Mellon and 1 Porthloo.

Brambling – 1 Rocky Hill, 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Porthloo Lane, 1 flew over  the Five Islands School,   on Bryher and 3 on Tresco. 

Siskin – 7 on Tresco, 4 Rocky Hill and 1 Porth Hellick.
