Ortolan Bunting – 1 still in the bulb field at the bottom of Rocky Hill and on in a field between the turnings for Carn Vean and Mount Todden.
Rose-coloured Starling – The juvenile was again on Green Farm Lane in the evening
European Storm Petrel – 14 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s and 4 in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III.
Cory’s Shearwater – c150 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Great Shearwater – c800 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s and 2 in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III.
Sooty Shearwater – 22 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Great Skua – 6 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Puffin – 5 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s and 7 in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III.
Cattle Egret – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Mellon Beach moving to Porthloo, 2 on Periglis, St. Agnes.
Knot – 2 on Par Beach, St. Agnes.
Purple Sandpiper – 6 on the Western Rocks.
Mediterranean Gull – 15 by the Old Quay, St. Martin’s.
Kingfisher – 1 on Town Beach.
Wryneck – 1 at Perpitch, St. Martin’s
Turtle Dove – 1 at Mount Todden Farm
Firecrest – 1 Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors, 1 on Kittydown, 2 Carreg Dhu Gardens and 2 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s.
Common Whitethroat – 1 at Periglis, St. Agnes.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 at Longstone, 1 opposite the Fruit Cage on St. Agnes
Redwing – The first of the autumn was 1 at Carn Wethers.
Spotted Flycatcher – 3 St. Mary’s, St. Martin’s and 2 Bryher.
Pied Flycatcher – 3 St. Mary’s and 2 St. Martin’s.
Common Redstart – 1 Mount Todden Lane and 1 at Stinky Porty, Bryher.
Whinchat – 1 Carn Friars and 2 Bread & Cheese cove St. Martin’s.
Yellow Wagtail – 2 at Mount Todden Farm.
Skylark –3 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s.
Grey Wagtail –1 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s.
Crossbill – 1 flew over Longstone.
Siskin – 3 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s and 1 flew over Trenoweth.
Brambling – 1 calling at Longstone and 1 on the footpath from Old Town to the Airport.
Short-beaked common Dolphin – c150 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Ocean Sunfish – 2 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Blue Shark – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip 17.5 miles southwest of St. Mary’s.
Tuesday (30/09)
Wilson’s Phalarope – 1 was found late in the evening on Porth Hellick Pool. This is the 10th record for Scilly and the first since 2010.
Paddyfield Warbler – 1 was still at Porth Hellick.
Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.
Rustic Bunting – 1 was found on ST . Agnes on the track to the Big pool and was then seen near Lower Town Farm.
Little Bunting – 1 at Troy Town, St. Agnes.
Ortolan Bunting – 1 still at the bottom of Rocky Hill.
Rose-coloured Starling – the juvenile was on roofs in Old Town and later moved to Pelistry.
Great White Egret –1 at the south end of the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 flew over Porth Hellick towards the airfield.
Spoonbill –1 on Green Island and 1 om Samson Flats.
Cattle Egret – 1 on the south side of Pelistry Lane.
Cory’s shearwater – 200+ seen on the morning trip to Bishop Rock.
Great Shearwater – 100+ seen on the morning trip to Bishop Rock and 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III.
Sooty Shearwater – 1 seen on the morning trip to Bishop Rock.
Manx Shearwater – 1 seen on the morning trip to Bishop Rock.
Great Skua – 1 seen on the morning trip to Bishop Rock.
Pochard – 3 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Knot – 2 on Parr Beach, St. Martin’s.
Bar-tailed Godwit – 18 on Bar Point and 1 on Porthloo Beach.
Whimbrel – 3 at Bar Point.
Yellow-legged Gull – An adult on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Skylark – 1 at Higher Town.
Tree Pipit –1 at the south end of the Great Pool, Tresco.
Firecrest – 2 at Borough Farm, 3 on St. Martin’s and 1 in the Abbey Gardens, Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 at Borough Farm, St. Mary’s and 2 on St. Martin’s.
Whinchat – 1 at Borough Farm, 2 on Tresco and 1 on Bryher
Common Redstart – 1 on the airport approach road, 1 at the old secondary school site, Hugh Town, 1 on Tresco and 1 on Samson.
Yellow Wagtail – 1 at the Riding Stabled and 2 on Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 1 was on the Great Pool, Tresco. and 9 flew from the Old Quay, St. Martin’s and were later seen flying over Carn Gwaval.
Spoonbill – 1 on Green Island.
Shelduck – 1 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Richard’s Pipit – 1 was in a field below the Lighthouse on St. Agnes.
Pochard – 5 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Curlew Sandpiper – 2 by Porth Killier Quay, St. Agnes.
Common Sandpiper – 1at Porth Askin, St. Agnes.
Ruff – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Hobby – 1 on St, Agnes.
Kingfisher – 1 Porth Hellick Pool, 1 at Porth Minnick, 1 Lower Moors and 1 on the Great Pool.
Skylark – 1 in a ploughed field on Peninnis.
Tree Pipit – 1 flew over Porth Hellick.
Firecrest – 2 Longstone/Carreg Dhu and 2 at Borough Farm.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the bulb field at the bottom of Rocky Hill, 1 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison, 1 in the Fruitcage, St. Agnes and 3 at Seven Stones, St. Martin’s.
Pied flycatcher – 1 in the bulb field at the bottom of Rocky Hill, 2 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison and 1 on St. Agnes.
Whinchat – 1 in a field hedge on Peninnis, 1 in Lower Moors, 1 at Periglis, St. Agnes and 1 in a ploughed field on Back Lane, Tresco.
Common Redstart – On Tresco 2 in a ploughed field on Back Lane, and 2 at the sawmill.
Grey Wagtail – 1 Lower Moors, 2 Porth Hellick and 1 Pelistry.
Siskin – 8 flew west over Longstone.
