Turtle Dove – 1 on a roof behind St. Mary’s Hall, Hugh Town.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on the east side of the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 on Bryher near Island Fish Café.
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 near the sports pavilion on the Garrison, 1 Holy Vale and 1 on the turning to the airport.
Spotted Flycatcher – 2 Appletree Glade, Bryher.
Common Redstart – 1 on the Pitch & Put, Bryher.
Yellow Wagtail – 7 with cattle on Pelistry Lane.
Brambling – 1 Holy Vale.

Semi-palmated Sandpiper – 1 still on Bryher. seen at Stinky Porth and by Anneka’s Quay.
Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still in St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.
Leach’s Storm-petrel – 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance, this is a scarce bird for Scilly.
Great Crested Grebe – 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance, another scarce bird for Scilly.
Ortolan Bunting – 1 still on the Pitch & Put, Bryher and 1 in afield at the bottom of Rocky Hill (photo).
Cory’s Shearwater – 3 off Peninnis, 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 4 on the return trip.
Great Shearwater – 20 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Sooty Shearwater – 5 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
European Storm-petrel – 20+ in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian Iii on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great White Egret – 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.
Glossy Ibis – 2 flew around St. Mary’s before flying off north.
Spoonbill – 1 still on Green Island near Samson and 2 on Samson.
Cattle Egret – 1 seen in flight from Lower Moors towards the airfield and it or another with cows near the entrance to Carn Vean Cafe and then over Longstone.
Grey Plover – 1 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco.
Little Stint – 1 on Porthloo Beach.
Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Porthloo Beach, 2 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco and 2 on Stinky Porth, Bryher.
Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco.
Mediterranean Gull – 4 on Abbey Pool, Tresco and 1 on St. Martin’s Flats.
Hobby – 1 at Green Farm and 1 on Bryher.
Wryneck – 1 in the gorse behind the woolpack Battery.
Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 near St. Mary’s Hospital.
Turtle Dove – 1 in the Dead Pine Walk and 1 Porthloo.
Firecrest – 3 on Rocky Hill.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in the Fruit Cage, St. Agnes.
Common Whitethroat – 1 on Peninnis.
Spotted Flycatcher – 3 St. Mary’s, 1 St. Agnes, 1 St. Martin’s and 1 Bryher.
Pied Flycatcher – 4 St. Mary’s, 1 St. Agnes and 1 Bryher.
Whinchat – 3 on Peninnis and 3 above Bread & Cheese cove St. Amartin’s.
Common Redstart – 1 in the Rocky Hill area, 1 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco, 1 on St. Agnes, 1 Seven Stones, St. Martin’s and 1 on the Pitch & Put, Bryher.
Yellow Wagtail – 1 flew over Longstone.
Brambling – 1 near the Seaward Hide at Porth Hellick.
Sunday (28/09)
PADDYFIELD WARBLER – 1 caught, ringed and released at Porth Hellick Ringing Station at 09:30. This is the third to be ringed at this location after 2 were trapped last year. It was seen again in the ringing lanes at 14:30.
Semi-palmated Sandpiper – 1 still on Stinky Porth, Bryher.
Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still in St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.
Ortolan Bunting – 1 in a field between Maypole Triangle & Borough Farm , 1 in a field on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis, a “probable” flew over the old Secondary school site towards Harry’s Walls, 1 Pelistry and 1was back in the field at Rocky Hill/Porthloo Lane Junction at 15:55.
Rose-coloured Starling – A juvenile was on the roof of the barn opposite Old Town Inn and it or another was later at Pelistry.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – The first of the year was 1 at Maypole.
Glossy Ibis – 2 flew over Tresco and probably these 2 at Porth Hellick. Later 1 was seen over several locations on St. Mary’s before landing on the golf course. Thet were later seen heading west over St. Agnes.
Great White Egret – 11 in Porth Hellick Bay and it or another later flew over Longstone.
Spoonbill – 1 on Green Island.
Common Scoter – 1 in Rushy Bay, Bryher.
Golden Plover – 2 on the airfield.
Curlew Sandpiper – 1 still on Porthloo Beach, 1 Porth Hellick Beach and 1 Periglis, St. Agnes.
Common Sandpiper – 1 in St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.
Knot – 2 on Higher Town Beach, St. Martin’s.
Whimbrel – 1 on Porthloo Beach.
Turtle Dove – 1 southwest of Pelistry.
Firecrest – 1 on the Dead Pine Walk and 1 Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes. Sandpiper – 1 still on Porthloo Beach
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors.
Common Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors.
Mistle Thrush – 1 on the Pitch & Put on Bryher.
Spotted Flycatcher – 4 on St. Mary’s, 4 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Bryher.
Pied Flycatcher – 3 on St. Mary’s, 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Bryher.
Whinchat – 4 on St. Mary’s and 5 on St. Martin’s.
Common Redstart – 3 on St. Mary’s, 1 South Beach, Tresco and 2 on the Pitch & Put on Bryher.
Yellow Wagtail – 7 in a horse field eastof the Riding Stables.
Crossbill – a male flew over Parting Carn.
