Glossy Ibis – 3 where seen around the islands.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool (photo)

Cory’s Shearwater – 200+ flew west across Porth Cressa Bay between 06:20 & 07:05.

Golden Plover – 2 flew over Giant’s Castle.

Ruff – 2 flew high over Porth Hellick Pool in the evening.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Carn Leh, Old Town Bay.

Mediterranean Gull –6 in Porth Cressa

Wryneck – 1 in the Dump Allotments,1 in the Airport fields above Ennor Close, Old Town and 1 om Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Raven – 1 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Icterine/Melodious Warbler– A bird seen briefly on Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes was one of the two species,

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 by Bryher tennis court.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 still in Old Town Churchyard, 1 in Lower Moors, 3 on Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes and 1 at Veronica Farm, Bryher.

Whinchat – 1 at the airport and 1 on Bryher

Yellow Wagtail –2 in a cow field between Porth Hellick and Salakee Farm and 1 at Churchtown Farm, St. Martin’s.

Glossy Ibis – Still 3 around on St. Mary’s.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wilson’s Storm-petrel – 1  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

European Storm-petrel – c100 on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Cory’s Shearwater – 130  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s and 66 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great Shearwater – 40 on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s and 4 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 2  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s and 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sabine Gull – An adult  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Pomarine Skua – An adult on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Arctic Skua – An adult  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Arctic Tern –12 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Grey Phalarope – 7 off Csrn Near, Tresco and 3 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Wryneck – 1 on the coastal path between Old Town Bay and the airport and 1 near Tresco tennis courts.

Kingfisher – 1 Porth Hellick Bay.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 Porth Minnick, 1 Carn Leh, 2 in fields between Parting Carn & Joaney’s Well and 6 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Pied flycatcher – 4 in fields between Parting Carn & Joaney’s Well, 1 still in Old Town Churchyard , 1 in Lower Moors and 1 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Brambling – A male in sallows by the seaward hide at Porth Hellick.

Yellow Wagtail – 2 Porth Hellick Bay.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin – 20 on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Blue Shark – 2  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Atlantic Bluefin Tuna – 30  on an evening Pelagic trip northeast of St, Mary’s.

Friday (05/09)

Glossy Ibis – Still at least 3 around on St. Mary’s (photo) and 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool

Marsh Warbler – 1 in Popplestone fields, Bryher.

Osprey – 1 flewover the Garrison,

Cory’s Shearwater  – 7 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance and 20 feeding over Tuna near the Eastern Isles.

Great Shearwater – 7 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance and 1feeding over Tuna near the Eastern Isles.

Pomarine Skua – in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Grey Phalarope – 1 landed briefly on Porth Hellick Pool.

Saturday (06/09)

Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 seen briefly in the pines near St. Martin’s Campsite was not identified to species i.e. Western/Eastern.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper – 1 on the airfield in the evening (photo).

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Glossy Ibis – An unprecedented influx with 4 on Porth Hellick Pool early morning and then several reports of single birds before an amazing 19 flew north over the Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s.

Cattle Egret – 1 with cattle in the field opposite Parting Carn Farm.

Dotterel – 1 still on the airfield.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick

Black-tailed Godwit – 2 on Tresco

Kingfisher – 1 near the Turk’s Head, St. Agnes.

Wryneck – 1 at Mount Todden.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 opposite Newford Duck Pond, 1 Bants Carn and 1 Carreg Dhu and 3 on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher– 3 in the Green farm area, 1 at the top of Watermill, 1 Helvear Down, 1 in the Community Orchard at Trenoweth, 1 in the Shark’s Pit area, 2 High Lanes, 1 Carreg Dhu, 1 Shooters’ Pool and 3 on Tresco.

Common Redstart – 1 on Tresco.

Whinchat – 1 Green Farm and 1 Bant’s Carn.

White Wagtail – 2 Bant’s Carn.

Sunday (07/09)

Glossy Ibis –Records continue to be broken, 33!! flew over Porth Hellick  and were seen heading towards the southern end of StMartin’s . 1 was later seen in the chicken pen at Parting Carn and 2 were feeding on Lower Moors Pool. Iin the early evening 1 was on Salakee Lane and 38!!! Flew over Porth Hellick over the airfield and then were seen at various sites around St. Mary’s (photo)

Buff-breasted Sandpiper – 1 still on the airfield.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Melodious Warbler – 1 at Longstone.

Dotterel – 1 still on the airfield with the Buff-breasted Sandpiper

Osprey – 1 flew over Peninnis and then the Golf Course.

Hoopoe – 1 Salakee Farm (photo).

Brent Goose – 2 in Appletree Bay, Tresco.

Wryneck – 1 in the back gardens of Sallyport and 1 at Churchtown Farm, St. Martin’s.

Garden Warbler – 1 in the Community Orchard at Trenoweth.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the pine belt opposite the Star Castle staff accommodation, 1 at Longstone and 1 at Hanjague, 1 Old Town churchyard and 1 Carreg Dhu Gardensand 1 St. Martin’s Vineyard.

Pied flycatcher – 3 in the pine belt opposite the Star Castle staff accommodation, 1 at Longstone, 3 Old Town Churchyard. 1 at top of the road to Holy Vale, 2 at Salakee and 5 in the Trenoweth area.

Whinchat – 1 at the north end of the airport and 1 at Salakee.
