Short-toed Lark  – 1 was on the airfield.

Black Guillemot  – 1 was again near Round Island.

Golden Oriole – 1 singing at Trenoweth.

Great White Egret – 1 flew down Tresco Chaneel.

Hobby – 1 over Bryher.

Common Swift – 4 over Bryher.

Turtle Dove – 2 on Bryher and 1 on St, Agnes,

Cuckoo – 1 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the Dump Clump and 2 on Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 1 on St. Agnes.

Saturday (17/05) 

Short-toed Lark  – 1 was still on the airfield.

Black Guillemot  – 1 was still near Round Island.

Purple Heron – 1 flew past the David Hunt Hide towards Abbey Pool and then back to the Great Pool, Tresco

Great white Egret  – 1 flew over Porth Hellick. 1 in the Lower Moors/ Old Town area and 1 on St. Agnes.

Hawfinch – 1 perched briefly in the ringing lanes at Porth Hellick.

Goden Oriole – 1 was calling in the elms opposite the entrance to Holy Vale Vineyard and 1 at Rowesfield Crossroads, Tresco.

Hobby – 1 over Longstone,1 over Castella Down, St. Agnes and 1 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Swift – 1 over the hospital and 2 over Tresco.

Turtle Dove – 2 in Lower Town Farm fields, St. Agnes and 1 still in the ploughed field at Normandy.

Cuckoo – 1+ on St. Mary’s, 1 on Tresco, 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Ten.

Spotted Flycatcher C1 at Veronica Farm, Bryher.

Black Redstart – 1 at Hell Bay, Bryher.

Sunday (18/05) 

Black Guillemot – 1 still near Round Island.

Great White Egret – 1 off St. Agnes Campsite

Little Egert 4 on St. Martin’s Flats and 1 on Porth Hellick Beach.

Tufted Duck – A pair on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – 3 adults on Abbey Pool, Tresco, including a female with 5 new ducklings.

Purple Sandpiper – 32 on Rosevean.

Common Sandpiper – 1 calling at Porth Cressa late evening.

Whimbrel – 2 on Porth Seal, St. Martin’s.

Hobby –  1  over Longstone, 1  Castle Down Tresco and 1 on Bryher

Turtle Dove – 1 sat on a telegraph pole at Upper Benham Battery, Garrison

Cuckoo –  6+ across the islands.

Common Whitethroat – 1 at New Quay, south of Watermill Cove.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 by the Pitch & Putt on Bryher.

Monday (19/05) 

Purple Heron – There were several sightings on Scilly and Tresco, which from timings and ageing, involved at least 2 different individuals (photo0.

Hawfinch– 1 made 2 brief visits to the garden of the staff accommodation behind Star Castle on the Garrison.

Osprey – 1 seen around St. Mary’s was also seen on Tresco.

Golden Oriole – 2 on Tresco.

Little Egret – 2 on Tresco and 1 on Bryher,

Great Northern Diver – 1 south of Samson.

Yellow=legged Gull – An adult was on Gleaner Beach, Tesco.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on Annet.

Whimbrel – 2 on Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes,

Hobby – 1 on Peninnis, 1 over Porth Hellick House and 1 at New Grimsby, Treso.

Turtle Dove – 3 on St. Agnes and 1 flew north  through Porth Hellick.

Swift – 1 over Tresco Stores.

Cuckoo – 1 on Peninnis and 1 on St. Agnes

Garden Warbler – 1 at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 ay Lower Town, St. Agnes.

Tree Pipit –1 Porth Hellick Loop.

Tuesday (20/05)

 Black Guillemot – 1 still near Round Island (photo)

Purple Heron – 2 at Porth Hellick Pool

Hawfinch – 1  again made a brief visit to the garden of the staff accommodation behind Star Castle on the Garrison.

Nightingale – 1 in the evening , singing occasionally on the Porth Hellick Loop Trail

Golden Oriole – A male at Higher Town, St. Martin’s (photo)

Great Northern Diver – 4 a Spenser’s Ledge and 1 off Toll’s Island.

Hobby – 2 over Longstone and 1 over Star Castle on the Garrison

Cuckoo – 1 calling in the pines above Middle Town, St. Martin’s.
