Tawny Pipit – 1 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Shore Lark – 1 still on the airfield.

Short -toed Lark – 1 on the airfield was flushed by dog walkers and was seen late in the evening on Porth Hellick Down and 1 was on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Woodchat Shrike  – 1 still on Bryher.

Dotterel – 2 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Golden Oriole – A male was in the tress at Newford Duck Pond (photo)

Great Northern Diver – 1 off Tolman Point, 1 off Samson and 2 off Carnew Point, St. Agnes.

Tufted Duck – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Golden Plover   – 1 on the airfield

Common Sandpiper – 2 at Porth Minnick and 1 on Samson.

Whimbrel – 16 flew east over Kittydown, 11 at Popplestone, Bryher and 31 on Samson.

Marsh Harrier – 1 seen a couple of times over St. Mary’s and also over Samson.

Hobby – 1 over the airport and 1 over Tresco

Great white Egret –2 still around the islands.

Common Swift – 1 over the airport

Raven – 1 in the flooded field behind the school on Tresco

Rook – 1 seen around the islands, This is a scarce species on Scilly.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Bryher.

Grasshopper Warbler  – 1 reeling by the road entrance to Porth Hellick and 1 on St. Martin’s

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on King  Edward’s Road, Peninnis,

Pied flycatcher – 1 in a garden behind the Star Castle on the Garrison.

Whinchat – 1 at Giant’s Castle and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Tree Pipit – 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 on St. Martin’s.

Brambling – 1 on St. Martin’s.

Monday (28/04)

Shore Lark – 1 still in the Deep Point/ Porth Hellick Down area.

Short-toed Lark – 2 on the airfield.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still on Tresco.

Turtle Dove – 1 on Peninnis and then flew towards Old Town.

Great White Egret – Still 2 on St. Mary’s.

Black-throated Diver – 1 still at the northern end of Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Tufted Duck – 1 was still on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 was still on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 still at Porth Minnick and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Whimbrel – 5 on St. Martin’s.

Common Swift – 1 over Old Town Café.

Garden Warbler –1 singing in bushes on the path from the road to Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Redstart – A female was at Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Tree Pipit – 1  Watermill and 1 Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 on ST. Martin’s.

White Wagtail – 1 in a garden behind the Star Castle on the Garrison.

Tuesday (29/04) 

Short-toed Lark – 2 still on the airfield.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still in fields behind the church on Tresco.

Golden Oriole – ! singing in the Porth Hellick Loop area.

Hobby – 1 over Monument Hill, Tresco.

Marsh Harrier –1 over Maypole.

Turtle Dove – 1 at Lower Town, St. Martin’s and 1 on the cricket pitch on St. Agnes.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 3 at Periglis, St. Agnes.

Whimbrel – 12 at Periglis, St. Agnes ad 6 on Bryher.

Common Swift – 2 over Hugh Town, 3+ over the Porth Hellick area, 3 Maypole, 1 Newford Duck Pond, 1 over Shipman Head Down and 1 over Gugh.

Cuckoo – 1 at Middle Town, St. Martin’s.

Common Whitethroat – 3 on Bryher.

Garden Warbler – 1 at Periglis, St, Agnes and 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher –1 at Newford Duck Pond, 3 on Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Redstart  –4  on Bryher,

Whinchat – 2 at Popplestone, Bryher and 1 by the big Pool, St. Agnes.

Tree Pipit – 3 over Old Grimsby, Tresco and 1 over Bryher.

Wednesday (30/04)

Black Kite – 1 flew northeast over Porth Cressa,

Red-footed Falcon – A female was briefly on Shipman Head Down, Bryher (photo).

Bee-eater – 3 flew high over St. Martin’s heading for St. Mary’s.

Short-toed Lark – 2 together on the airfield (photo)

Purple Heron – 1 on Bryher (photo).

Great White Egret – 1 at Pendrathen.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 at Parting Carn  and 1 on Bryher.

Serin – A female flew over the path from Fraggle Rock to Shipman Head, Bryher.

Golden Oriole –  5+ on St. Mary’s and up to 6 on Bryher (photo)

Wryneck – 1 in a field by the golf course.

Marsh Harrier – A female seen at several locations on St. Mary’s, roosted in the reeds at Porth Hellick Pool.

Red Kite –  A large influx across the islands today, 40+? Birds.

Hobby – 1 over the Riding Stables, 1 over Shark’s Pit and 1 over Higher Moors.

Tufted Duck – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick Pool and 6 on  Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Whimbrel – 16 on Bryher.

Turtle Dove – 1 by Newford Duck Pond, 1 Holy Vale, 1 in fields near Longstone, 1 on Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes.

Rook – 1 over Content.

Lesser Whitethroat  – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Common Whitethroat  – 1 in the Borough Farm area and 13+ on Bryher.

Garden Warbler – 1 at Telegraph, 1 Shooters’ Pool, 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 1 on Bryher.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 by the entrance to Porth Hellick ringing lanes.

Ring Ouzel – 2 on Shipman Head Down.

Spotted Flycatcher– 2 in the Garrison pines, 2 Newford Duck Pond, 3 Parting Carn, 1 Higher Moors, 1 on the Golf Course, 3 on St. Martins and 8 on Bryher.

Pied flycatcher – 1 in the Garrison pines, 2 Newford Duck Pond, 1 Bant’s Carn, 1 Parting Carn, 3 in Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 in the Standing Stones Field, 1 in the Borough Farm area, 4 on St. Martins and 10 on Bryher.

Whinchat – 2 on Peninnis, 1 by the airport terminal, 1 in Salakee Farm fields, 1 at Higher Moors, 1 on the Golf Course2 on St. Martin’s and 3 on Bryher.

Common Redstart – 1 in the Borough Farm area and 3 on Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 2 over Maypole. 8 in the Borough Farm area and 7 on Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail – 4 in the Porth Hellick/Higher Moors area.
