Hen Harrier – 1 over Samson.

Sandwich Tern – 6 on Hats Buoy off Innisidgen.

Firecrest – 1 singing in the pines near Longstone Terrace.

Black Redstart  –2 Porthloo.

Monday (31/03)

Cattle Egret – 1 with cattle near Porthloo Duck Pond.

Cattle Egret – 2 Shark’s Pit.

Ring Ouzel – A male at Bant’s Carn.

Tuesday (01/04)

Purple Heron – 1 on St. Agnes Pool, was  later seen at several locations on St. Mary’s.

Hoopoe – At least 4 around St. Mary’s, 1 at the Daymark, St. Martin’s and 1 on Gugh.

Red Kite – 1 flew over Sallyport.

Merlin – 1 on the Garrison over Morning Point.

Golden Plover – 1 at the airport.

Jack Snipe – 2 Porth Hellick.

Sandwich Tern – 8 off Bar Point.

Sand Martin –  5 Lower Moors and 1 on St. Martin’s.

House Martin – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.

Swallow – 1 Porth Hellick Pool, 2 Lower Moors and 2 on the Garrison.

Ring Ouzel – A male on the coastal path by the golf course.

Redwing – 1 on the Garrison.

Wheatear – 3 on the Golf Course.= and 8 on the Garrison.

Black Redstart – 15 on the Garrison, 4 on the Golf Course, 1 at Telegraph and 4 on St. Martin’s.

Yellow Wagtail – 2 in the Longstone/ Porth Hellick House area.

White Wagtail – 12 on off the sea on the Garrison.

Brambling – 1 on the Garrison.

Wednesday (02/04)

Little Ringed Plover – 1 at the pig field at Trewince (photo), this is a scarce bird on Scilly.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 at the pig field at Trewince.

Night Heron – 3 at Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors.

Purple Heron – 1 flew from the ringing station and it or others were seen over several sites on St. Mary’s.

Hoopoe – Still at least 9, probably more on St. Mary’s #. Including 3 feeding together on the Garrison (photo)and 5 on St, Martin’s including 4 together above Perseil.

Osprey – 1 flew north over Star Castle and then over Porthloo, the Golf Course and onto the Roads.

Red Kite – 1 seen over several locations on St. Mary’s.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew north over the airfield.

Merlin – A female at Gimble Port, Tresco.

Pintail– A drake on Porth Hellick Pool.

Golden Plover – 1 flew over the Garrison towards Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 1 on the Golf Course.

Jack Snipe – 1 by the path near the Porth Hellick Loop Trail.

Sandwich Tern – 11 on buoys in Town Bay.

Swallow – 4 over the Golf course.

Sand Martin – 9 over the Golf Course, 4 Porth Hellick, 6 Lower Moors.

House Martin  1 over the Golf Course.

Firecrest – 1 still singing in Careg Dhu Gardens.

Redwing – 2 at Rosehill.

Ring Ouzel – A male  at the northern end of the Golf Course and a male at the Garrison Campsite.

Mistle Thrush – 2 on the Golf course.

Wheatear – At least 40  and 25+ at Gimble Porth. Tresco.

Black Redstart –  30+ 0n St. Mary’s and 15+ at Gimble Porth, Tresco.

Common Redstart – 1 at the pig field at Trewince.

White Wagtail – 1 Little Porth and 4 on the golf course.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 at Gimble Porth. Tresco.

Blue=headed Wagtail – 1at Gimble Porth. Tresco.

Brambling –  19 at Gimble Porth. Tresco.
