Greylag Goose – 1 still in the “Iris field”, the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.
Redwing – 10 flew over the Dump and 3 at the Rosehill end of Lower Moors.
Monday (01/01)
Cattle Egret – 3 in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the “Iris field”, the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.
Woodcock – 4 in Lower Moors.
Jack Snipe – 1 on Lower Moors Pool.
Lapwing – 1 flew south over the Dump Clump.
Bar-tailed Godwit – 6 at Pendrathen.
Little Egret – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay.
Mediterranean Gull – 10 Porth Cressa and 10 on the Wrass off Pendrathen.
Common Gull – 2 Porthloo.
Firecrest – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 2 in the tall behind by the parking area foe Longstone Terrace.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in Lower Moors
Redwing – c40-50 in in the Rosehill, dump area.
Fieldfare – 1 at Sunnyside.
Grey Wagtail – 1 at the dump.
Humpback Whale – 1 was seen to “blow” off the Steval on the Garrison.
Tuesday (02/01)
Cattle Egret – The cattle were moved into the field opposite Longstone Lodge and the birds followed them.
Spoonbill – 1 on Samson.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the “Iris field”.
Great Northern Diver – 1 near Cromwell’s Castle, Tresco.
Oystercatcher – The Longipes type bird known colloquially as Siberian Oystercatcher, was on Little Bar Beach briefly before flying towards Bar Point.
Black Redstart – 2 at Little Porth.
Grey Wagtail – 1 at Little Porth.
Wednesday (03/01)
Cattle Egret – 3 still the field opposite Longstone Lodge.
Little Egret – 1 on Treco.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the “Iris field”.
Great Northern Diver – 1 in Town Bay and 1 at Pendrathen.
Woodcock – 2 on Sunnyside Farm.
Merlin – 1 over Sunnyside Farm.
Firecrest – 2 on Sunnyside Farm.

Pochard – 5 drakes and 4 females on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
