PADDYFIELD WARBLER –1 showed briefly at Porth Hellick just inside the gate at the seaward end of the boardwalk.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 on the Porth Hellick Loop Trail.

Glossy Ibis – 1 on the main track through Salakee Farm and then in the old chicken field at Tremelethen.

Spoonbill – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 2 on Green Island.

Woodcock – 1 at Higher Moors.

, 1 on Tresco between Dolphin House and Dolphin Cottage and 1 at Rowesfield Crossroads, Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 3 on the Porth Hellick Loop Trail, 2 at Higher Moors and 1 next to the Stephen Sussex hide at Porth Hellick.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on the Porth Hellick Loop Trail

Ring Ouzel – 1 still in the old chicken field at Tremelethen.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 in a cattle field at Parting Carn.

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – 1 was still in the field at the bottom of Rocky Hill.

American Painted Lady – 3 in the fields on Sandy Lane.

Green Darner – 1 in a Field on Sandy Lane.

Dusky Warbler – 1 still at the bottom of Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Waxwing – 1 on St. Agnes (photo).

lossy Ibis – 1 still in the old chicken field at Tremelethen.

Spoonbill –1 still on Porth Hellick Pool, 1 at Bar Point and 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Merlin –1 flew over Lower Moors.

Shirt-eared Owl – 1 flew over Innisidgen.

Firecrest – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 2 at Porth Hellick, 2 more on Porth Hellick Loop, 1 Newford Duck Pond, 1 in Lower Moors, 1 at the east end of the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 below Dolphin House, Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 in the Dump Clump, 1at Porth Hellick and 2 more on Porth Hellick Loop.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.

Ring Ouzel – 1 still in the old chicken field at Tremelethen.

Common Redstart – 1 at Porthloo.

Black Redstart – 7 at Porthloo.

Whinchat – 1 on the airfield.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 between Salakee and Porth Hellick and on New Grimsby Beach, Tresco.

Monday (30/10)

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – 1 was still in the field at the bottom of Rocky Hill.

Dusky Warbler – 1 still at the bottom of Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

American Painted Lady –Still 1 in the fields on Sandy Lane.

Green Darner – 1 in a Field on Sandy Lane.

Little Bunting – 1 at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Great White Egret – 1 on the beach at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Waxwing – 1 flew west over Harry’s Walls and 1 on a puddle between St. Nicholas’s church and the school on Tresco which then flew off towards Dolphin Town.

Spoonbill – 1 flew over Lower Moors and 1 was on the beach at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Great Shearwater – 15 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s , 15 seen on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance and 1 flew west past Peninnis.

Sooty Shearwater – 20+ seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s, 20 seen on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance, 3 flew past the mouth of Porth Hellick and 2 flew past St. Agnes.

Leach’s Storm-petrel – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

European Storm-petrel – 5 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 4 seen on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance,

Great Skua – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 1 seen on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Pomarine Skua – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Arctic Skua – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the return journey from St. Mary’s,

Great Northern Diver – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 1 off Watermill.

Red-throated Diver – 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Pintail – 3 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Wigeon – 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – 4 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 1 on the main track from the road to Salakee and 1 in Lower Moors.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit –2 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco.

Merlin – 1 at Watermill, 1 over the Dead Pine Walk and 1 St. Agnes.

Short-eared Owl – 1 in Lower Moors.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 at the David Hunt Hide on Pool Road, Tresco.

Firecrest – 2 in Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 at Tremelethen Farm, 1 by Mainland Marketing building below the airfield.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 at Carn Friars, 3 in Lower Moors, 1 Newford duck Pond, 1 on the main track from the road to Salakee Farm & another by the farm buildings, 1 Higher Moors, 1 Porth Hellick Loop, 1 on Pool Road Tresco and 1 at Rowesfield Crossroads, Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 5 in Lower Moors, 1 at Higher Moors, 1 Csrn Friars and 2 on St. Agnes.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 in Lower Moors.

Common Whitethroat – 1 in the garden of Newman House, Garrison.

Redwing – 15 Tremelethen.

Fieldfare – 3 in the Gardens opposite the Municipal Dump.

Great Shearwater – 104 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

European Storm-petrel – 14 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sabine’s Gull – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Kittiwake – 80 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Puffin – 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great Northern Diver – 3 off Innisidgen.

Lapwing – 2 flew over Hugh Town harbour at 07:45 and probably the same 2 over Pungies Lane at 09:11.

Jack Snipe – 2 in the cut area by the south end of Porth Hellick Loop Trail.

Merlin – 1 flew over Peninnis towards Lower Moors.

House Martin – Alate bird over Porth Mellon.

Firecrest – 2 at the Old town end of Lower Moors.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on Porth Hellick Loop Trail.

Common Redstart – 2 at Porthloo.

Black Redstart – 2 on Porthloo Beach and 1 on the east side of Peninnis.

Wheatear – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Fieldfare – 10 at Normandy.

Redwing – c20 in the field before the pig field on Peninnis.

White Wagtail – 8 on Porthloo Beach.

Chaffinch –An obvious arrival on St. Mary’s and St. Agnes with a flock of several hundreds on the Peninnis Farm Trail.

Brambling – 1 in with the Chaffinch flock on Peninnis Farm Trail.

Siskin – 60 flew over Carn Thomas towards Porthloo.
