Buff-breasted Sandpiper –1 still on the eastern side of Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Glossy Ibis – 1 in a field near Pelistry Riding Stables.

Short-toed Lark – 1 still in the big field at Castella, St. Agnes.

Melodious Warbler – 1 again in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on St, Agnes.

Common Rosefinch – 2 still in the fields behind the Mainland Marketing shed.

Wryneck – 2 between Maypole and Borough Farm, St. Mary’s, 1 on the western side of Peninnis, 1 at St. Warna’s Cove, St, Agnes and on Back Lane, Tresco.

Dotterel – 3 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Cory’s Shearwater – 28 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great Shearwater – 8 north of St. Martin’s and 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Manx Shearwater – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Great skua – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Mediterranean Gull– 2 on Pilchard Pool, below Peninnis allotments.

Pink-footed Goose – 1 still in a field at Normandy.

Pintail – A juvenile on Lower Moors Pool, 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and a drake on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Shoveler – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Tufted Duck – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew over Csrn Leh, Old town Bay.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 8 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Skylark – 2 on St. Agnes.

Firecrest – 3 still at Carreg Dhu and 2 on the track west of Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 near Bryher Campsite.

Common Whitethroat – 1 on St. Agnes.

Whinchat – 1 on St. Mary’s, 1 on St. Martin’s, 2 on Tresco and 2 on Bryher.

Common Redstart – 1 still at Porthloo Boatyard, 1 Maypole,1 at Peninnis Allotments, 1 on St.Martin’s and 1 in cottage gardens southwest of the hotel on Bryher.

Nightingale – 1 singing in Old town Churchyard.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the Parsonage garden, St. Agnes.

Spotted Flycatcher – 3 on St. Martin’s. 2 on Bryher and 2 on Tresco.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on Salakee Farm.

Siskin – 2 at the Rosehill end of Lower Moors.

Redpoll – 2 in Peninnis Allotments.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin – 20 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Wednesday (05/10)

BOBOLINK – 1still in the fields behind the Mainland Marketing shed (photo). With reports of 2 birds flying over Longstone and 1 over Higher Moors.

Red-eyed Vireo –1 still on St. Agnes in Pittisporum at Porth Killier.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper –1 still on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Glossy Ibis – 1 again seen in several locations around St, Mary’s. (photo).

Rose-coloured Starling – A juvenile around the Star Cadtle area.

Melodious Warbler – 1 again in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Common Rosefinch – 2 still in the fields behind the Mainland Marketing shed and near Church Quay, Bryher.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 in bushes at Newford Duck Pond (photo).

Wryneck – 1 in a field northwest of Maypole Triangle.

Dotterel – 2 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Grey Phalarope – 2 on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands

Cory’s Shearwater – 300+ on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands and 50+ past Peninnis between 07:20-08:45.

Great Shearwater – 80+ on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands and 1 past Peninnis.

Sooty Shearwater – 20+ on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands.

Balearic Shearwater – 1 past Peninnis.

Manx Shearwater – 10 on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands and 50+ past Peninnis between 07:20-08:45.

Great skua – 4 on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands and 1 past Peninnis.

Pink-footed Goose – 1 still in a field at Normandy.

Pintail – The juvenile was still on Lower Moors Pool,

Firecrest – 1 Carreg Dhu Gardens and 2 at Holy Vale Village.

Garden Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick Loop.

Common Redstart – 1 at Stinking Porth, Bryher.

Whinchat – 1 on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Pied Flycatcher – 1in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison and 1 on the path from Longstone to Holy Vale.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in Old Town Churchyard and 1 in Middletown Pines, St. Martin’s.

Short-beaked Common Dolphin – 200 -300 on a morning pelagic trip north or the islands.

Wednesday (05/10)

BOBOLINK – 1still in the fields behind the Mainland Marketing shed and probably a second bird was briefly in Longstone cottage Garden before flying towards Sunnyside Farm.

Red-eyed Vireo –1 still on St. Agnes in Pittisporum at Porth Killier.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper –1 still on the east side of Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Glossy Ibis – 1 again roaming St. Mary’s.

Great White Egret –1 in Tresco Channel.

Red-throated Pipit –1 flew from a field west of Longstone Cottage\

Rose-coloured Starling – A juvenile was around the Peninnis Farm building before flying off toward Buzza Tower area where it showed on the roof tops (photo) and showed again late afternoon at Sallyport. Another was on St. Martin’s.

Melodious Warbler – 1 still in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Common Rosefinch – 1 still in the fields behind the Mainland Marketing shed.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 in Longstone Cottage Garden.

Wryneck – 2 in a field northwest of Maypole Triangle and 1 below the lighthouse on Peninnis.

Dotterel – 2 still on Shipman Head Down, Bryher.

Cory’s Shearwater – 30= lingering of Horse Point, St. Agnes and 11 flew past Peninnis Head.

Great Shearwater – 2 flew past Peninnis Head.

Pink-footed Goose – 1 still in a field at Normandy.

Golden Plover – 5 on Castle Down, Tresco, 5 flushed from Porth Hellick Beach and 5 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher. These may well be the same group moving around.

Ruff – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Knot – 1 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 16 on Periglis Beach, St. Agnes.

Whimbrel – 1 Porthloo.

Little Egret – 1 Porthloo.

Firecrest – 1 still in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 2 in Sandy Lane next to Sunnyside Farmhouse.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing at the north end of Porth Hellick Loop Trail.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 opposite the Pelistry Riding Stables and 1 on St. Martin’s behind the bakery.

Common Redstart – 1 in Middletown pines, St. Martin’s and 1 at Great Par, Bryher.

Whinchat – 1 still on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 1 at the north end of the trail from Longstone to Holy Vale.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in Middletown pines, St. Martin’s.

Grey Wagtail – 1 flew west over King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

White Wagtail – 15 on Porthloo Beach and 3 in a field on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.
