Osprey – 1 seen from Bant’s Carn flying very low over the sea towards Bar Point.
Red Kite – Still some lingering from yesterday with single figures seen over St. Mary’s, Tresco, St. Martin’s and Bryher.
Brent Goose – 1 flew into Porthloo early evening.
Turtle Dove – 1 seen briefly in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.
Cuckoo – 1 calling in the Content Farm area.
Golden Oriole – 1 singing for over an hour but not showing in Apple Tree Glade, Bryher.
Spotted Flycatcher – 2 in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.
White Wagtail – 1 Bryher.
Tuesday (23/05)
Red Kite – Still a few birds hanging on from Sunday.
Little Egret – 1 at Great Par, Bryher.
Common Swift – 1 flew north over Morning Point on the Garrison.
Cuckoo – 1 calling near Trenoweth and 1 Seaways Farm, Porthloo.
Spotted Flycatcher – 7 Vine Farm/ Popplestone area, Bryher.
Whinchat – A male was at Stinky Porty, Bryher.
Siskin – 2 near the bulb shop at Trenoweth.
Wednesday (24/05)
Laughing Gull – The adult was flying around St. Agnes Quay late afternoon.
Red Kite – Still a few birds remaining on the islands and 11 were seen from the Scillonian III fling low east near the Seven Stones Lightship.
Common Buzzard – 1 over the airfield.
Whimbrel – 3 flew from Periglis to Porth Coose, St. Agnes,
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.
Thursday (25/05)
Laughing Gull – the adult was seen in flight over Gugh.
Great Crested Grebe – 1on the Great Pool, Tresco, this is a scarce species on Scilly.
Red Kite – Still low double figures on the islands.
Shoveler – A drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Short-eared Owl – 1 on Teän.
Common Buzzard – 1 over Longstone.
Hobby – 1 flew through Higher Moors.
Common Swift – 1 over Longstone Café, 1 over the airport and 1 flew over St. Agnes Quay.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on Pool Road, Tresco.
Friday (26/05)
Tawny Pipit – 1 flew east over the airfield.
Great White Egret – 1 flew through the Roads before landing at the Great Pool, Tresco.
Red Kite – Still been seen in low numbers on the islands (photos).
Common Buzzard – 1 over Lower Moors.
Little Egret – 1 near Plumb Island.
Rook – 2 with Carrion Crows at Helvear.
Common Whitethroat – 1 on Rosevear.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in Popplestone Fields, Bryher.
Whinchat – 1 Porth Hellick
