Fieldfare – 2 on the Garrison playing fields.

Redwing – 12 on the Garrison playing fields.

Dusky Warbler – 2 still Higher Moors.

Firecrest – 1 Higher Moors.

Kingfisher – 2 Old Town Bay.

Tuesday (06/12)

Buff-bellied Pipit – A “probable” flew southeast over the Dump Clump towards Old Town.

Dusky Warbler – 1 on Pool Road, Tresco.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1near the David Hunt Hide, on Pool Road, Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff –1 on Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 3 on Tresco (photo).

Pink-footed Goose – 10 in fields between the dump and cricket pitch on Tresco (photo).

Great Northern Diver – 1 off Taylor’s Island, Porthloo and 2 off Samson

Scaup – A female on Tresco.

Pintail – 2 drakes on Tresco.

Shoveler – 2 on Tresco.

Wigeon – 4 on Tresco.

Pochard – 7 on Tresco.

Merlin – 1 on Tresco.

Scandinavian Herring Gull – 1 on Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 11 on Tresco.

Common Gull – 21 on Tresco.

Common (Harbour) Seal – 1 off South Beach, Tresco. This is a scarce species on Scilly.

Wednesday (07/12)

Common Buzzard – 1 heading north over Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Short-eared Owl – 1 on St. Agnes.

Common Eider – 1 in St. Mary’s Harbour.

Golden Plover – 1 flew south over Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Woodcock – 1 Innisidgen Down.

Black Redstart – 6 at Little Porth.

Fieldfare – 16 on the Garrison playing fields.

Redwing – 4 on the Garrison playing fields.

Thursday (08/12)

Dusky Warbler – 2 still in the sallows either side of the road by the entrance to Porth Hellick/ Higher Moors.

Common Buzzard – 1 over St. Martin’s, mobbed by a Kestrel and a Raven.

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Hugh Town Harbour.

Mediterranean Gull – 2 at Shark’s Pit and 2 Porth Cressa.

Whimbrel – 1 at Toll’s Porth.

Little Egret – 2 at Pendrathen.

Black Redstart – 5 at Porthloo and 2 at the airport.

White Wagtail – 1 at Porthloo.

Grey Wagtail – 1 at Porthloo.

Humpback Whale – 1 off Peninnis.

Friday (09/12)

Cattle Egret – 1 at Trewince.

Great Northern Diver – 12 Round Island.

Eider – 1 Round Island.

Common Scoter – 1 Round Island.

Mediterranean Gull – 14 Round Island, 1 at Shark’s Pit and 1 Porth Mellon.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 by the path at Porth Hellick.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 in the pine by the sluice at Porth Hellick.

Black Redstart – 6 Porthloo, 1 Shark’s Pit and 1 Porth Minnick.
