Red-backed Shrike – The juvenile was still in fields along Carn Friars Farm Track.

Spotted Crake – 1 on the Great Pool. Tresco.

Ruff – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 6 on the Great Pool, 2 on Abbey Pool, Tresco and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Tufted Duck – An eclipse drake was on Porth Hellick Pool.

Cuckoo – 1 flew over Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Whinchat – 2 at Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Newford Duck Pond and 1 at Old Grimsby, Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 at Newford Duck Pond.

Flava Wagtail – 4 on the Great Pool and 3 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Alba Wagtail – 3 on the Great Pool and 10 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Friday (09/09)

Citrine Wagtail – 1 still on the Great Pool. Tresco.

Wryneck – 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors (photo) and 1 in the bushes near the Big Pool, St. Agnes.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in fields along the Carn Friars Farm track.

Whinchat – 1 in Salakee Farm fields and 1 Holy Vale.

Saturday (10/09)

Red-backed Shrike – The juvenile was still in fields along Carn Friars Farm Track.

Spotted Crake – 2 seen in the southeast corner and 1 from the Swarovski Hide on the G00reat Pool, Tresco. 2 seen from the David Hunt Hide may have been 1 of the 2, but it would seem there are at least 3 on the Great Pool.

Shoveler – 2 on Tresco.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 5 on Tresco.

Black-tailed Godwit – 5 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Ruff – 5 on Tresco.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in fields along the Carn Friars Farm track.

Little Egret – 1 Toll’s Porth.

Osprey – 1 being mobbed by 2 Peregrine over Menawethen, Eastern Isles.

Kingfisher – 1 at Porth Mellon and 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station.

Whinchat – 1 Toll’s Porth, 1 in fields opposite the top of the Kittydown Track, 2 by the Decca radio mast, 2 on the Airfield and 5 on Tresco.

Redstart – 1 Borough Farm, Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in fields opposite the top of the Kittydown Track, 1 by Rosehill, 3 on the Garrison and 1 Borough Farm, Tresco.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in fields opposite the top of the Kittydown Track, 2 on the Garrison and 1 in the Parting Carn cattle field.

Tree Pipit – 2 on the Garrison.

Grey Wagtail – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Sunday (11/09)

Ortolan Bunting – 1 in fields behind the Salakee side of the pine belt between Porth Hellick Bay and Giant’s Castle.

Icterine Warbler – 1 at Longstone (photo).

Common Rosefinch – 1 in the dump by the tennis court on Bryher.

Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in fields along Carn Friars Farm Track.

Dotterel – 1 still on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Golden Plover – 1 on Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Marsh Harrier – 1 sat in a field at Kittydown which then flew south over Porth Hellick.

Osprey – 1 over Watermill Cove was later seen over Carn Friars Farm.

Wryneck – 1 in a field along the road between Watermill Cottage & Borough Farm and 1 on Porth Hellick Down which flew towards Carn Friars Farm.

Cuckoo – 1 flew over Bant’s Carn to the pines on McFarland Down.

Common Whitethroat – 1 in Salakee Farm Fields.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 in a field on King Edward’s Road Peninnis.

Common Redstart – 1 on the Golf Course, 1 in fields along King Edward’s Road Peninnis and 1 on Bryher.

Garden Warbler – 1 on Bryher.

Wheatear – 30+ on the Golf Course and 3 on Peninnis.

Whinchat – 2 in fields along King Edward’s Road Peninnis, 4 in fields behind the Salakee side of the pine belt between Porth Hellick Bay and Giant’s Castle, 3 near Borough Farm, 4 in fields along the Carn Friars Farm Track and 6 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 3 near Borough Farm.

Pied Flycatcher – 2 on the Golf Course, 2 in fields along King Edward’s Road Peninnis, 3 along the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison, 1 near Borough Farm and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Tree Pipit – 1 on the Golf Course.

Yellow Wagtail – 6 in fields along the Carn Friars Farm Track and 1 on the Golf Course.
