Little Bittern – The male was still at Porth Hellick Pool.

Rose-coloured Starling – An adult in a chicken field near Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Quail – 1 flushed rom near the leat at Porth Hellick.

Peregrine – 3 peregrine chicks on Annet.

Tuesday (14/06)

Little Bittern – The male was still at Porth Hellick Pool.

Rose-coloured Starling – An adult in the Abbey Gardens, Tresco and 2 flew north over Churchtown Fame, St. Martin’s.

Wednesday (15/06)

Red-rumped Swallow – 1 seen at several locations on Tresco

Stone Curlew – A mobile bird was on St. Agnes.

Rose-coloured Starling – An adult flew from Salakee towards Mount Todden.

Red Kite – 1 first seen over Old Town, was also reported from other sites on St, Mary’s, Tresco, Bryher and St. Martin’s.

Hobby – 2 over the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 over the airfield.

Thursday (16/06)

Rose-coloured Starling – 2 adults were in a garden behind Star Castle (photo) and roosted in nearby pines.

Mediterranean Gull – A 2nd-summer and juvenile in St. Mary’s Sound.

Friday (17/06)

Rose-coloured Starling – The 2 adults were still in the garden behind Star Castle.

Golden Oriole – 1 singing early morning in Longstone Cottage Garden.

Hobby – 1 over Middle Down, Tresco and 1 over Higher Moors.

Mediterranean Gull – A noticeable arrival with 8 on Plumb Island and 10 on Merrick Island.

Saturday (18/06)

Hobby – 1 flew over the Garrison.

Sunday (19/06)

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 again in a garden behind the Star Castle on the Garrison.

Golden Oriole – 1 in Holy Vale.
