Black Redstart – 2 Old Town Beach and 2 Porth Cressa.

Redwing – 75 on the school playing fields.

Swallow – 1 over Old Town Inn and probably the same 1 over Lower Moors.

Skylark – 1 Peninnis.

Fin Whale – 1 close inshore off Peninnis.

Lesser Scaup – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Dusky Warbler – 2 still on Tresco, 1 at Rowesfield Crossroads and 1 near the David Hunt Hide.

Glossy Ibis – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Spoonbill – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 1 off South Beach, Tresco.

Black-throated Diver – 1 off South Beach, Tresco.

Red-throated Diver – 1 off Watermill.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 8 on Tresco.

Wigeon – 5 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pintail – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Shoveler – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Scoter – 3 off South Beach, Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 at the north end of Lower Moors, 2 trapped & ringed at Porth Hellick ringing Station and 15+! on Tresco.

Northern/Siberian Willow Warbler – 1 at Abbey crossroads, Tresco.

Eastern Lesser Whitethroat – 1 at Abbey crossroads, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 1 still on Lower Moors Pool and 2 on Porth Hellick Pool

Yellow-legged Gull – 2 on Tresco.

Firecrest – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick ringing Station and 1 on Tresco.

Kingfisher – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick ringing Station.

Swallow – 2 over Old Town Beach.

Black Redstart – 1 Old Town and 1 Porth Cressa.

Grey Wagtail – 1 in a garden behind the Star Castle on the Garrison and 1 on Tresco.

Brambling – 2 at the north end of Lower Moors, 1 flew over Old Town and 7 on Tresco.

Tuesday (30/11)

A very quiet day with few reports.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 Porth Hellick and 2 Holy Vale.

Shelduck – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wigeon – A female on Porth Hellick Pool.

Little Egret – 1 on Bryher.

Raven – 1 on Bryher.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 calling at Rosehill Memorial Gardens.

Brambling – 1 on Bryher.

Wednesday (01/12) 

The only report was a Yellow-browed Warbler in Lower Moors.

Common Gull – 2 at Porthloo.

Wigeon – A female still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in Lower Moors.

Swallow – 1 over Sandy Banks.

Black Redstart – 2 Old Town Beach and 2 Porthloo.

Grey Wagtail – 1 still in a garden behind the Star Castle on the Garrison.

Brambling – 1 Porthloo and 1 Porth Hellick.

Friday (03/12)

Lesser Scaup – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Glossy Ibis – 1 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 1 briefly in the road! Near Star Castle on the Garrison.

Woodcock – 1 early morning on the coastal path above Watermill.

Little Egret – 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Wigeon – 5 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Shoveler – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pochard – A drake and 3 females on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Gull – An adult at Porthloo.

Swallow – 2 over the Jackson’s Hill/Incinerator area.

Black Redstart – 2 on Porthloo Beach.

Saturday (04/12)

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 Higher Moors.

Bullfinch – A “possible” heard and seen in silhouette in Holy Vale, if confirmed this is scarce species on Scilly.

Lapwing – 1 Porth Hellick Beach.

Woodcock – 1 in Holy Vale.

Swallow – 2over Higher Moors.

Brambling – 1 in the Chaplaincy Garden in Hugh Town and 1 Porth Hellick.
