Spotted Sandpiper – 1 still at Watermill Cove.

Olive-backed Pipit – A “possible” near Troy Town, St. Agnes.

Hoopoe – 1 flew in off the sea at Porth Minnick and was then seen at various locations around St. Mary’s including Porth Hellick, Giant’s Castle, 1 Trenoweth, 1 Newford Duck Pond, the golf course and Deep Point (photo).

Wryneck – 1 Great Porth, Bryher,

Woodlark – 1 in fields on Pungies Lane.

Water Pipit – 3 in the “Serin” ploughed field at Parting Carn, 1 in the ploughed field behind the beach to the east of Old Town and 1 over Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s,

Red-backed Shrike – 1 in a field north of Popplestone Bay, Bryher.

Spotted Redshank – 1 still on the Great Pool.

Snow Bunting – 1 flew over Porth Mellon and 1 was at Porth Wreck.

Lapland Bunting – 1 flew over the Health Centre towards Buzza.

Ring Ouzel – A noticeable arrival with 5 on Peninnis, 5 in the Garrison Pines, 6 Giant’s Castle, 2 Porth Minnick, 1 above Watermill Cove, 1 flew past the Community Hall on St. Martin’s, 2 Chapel Down, St. Martin’s, at least 7 on St. Agnes and 1 on the southside of Samson Hill, Bryher. 

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 near Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors, 1 in the Dump Clump and 1 singing at Porthloo Terrace.

Pink-footed Goose – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco and 6 Back Lane, Tresco.

Eider – 1 in Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 1 on & 18 over the airfield

Mediterranean Gull – 12 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Merlin – 1 over Peninnis and 1 Chapel Down, St. Martin’s

Skylark – 3 over Porth Hellick and at the Telegraph/Pelistry junction.

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing in Lower Moors.

Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors pumping station.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 Higher Moors pumping station.

Firecrest – 1 Tresco.

Mistle Thrush – 1 flew east over Porthloo Terrace and 1 was behind the bakery on St. Martin’s.

Redwing – Plenty of new arrivals following the overnight storm.

Fieldfare – 2 near Borough Farm, St. Mary’s.

Black Redstart – 7 in the “Serin” ploughed field at Parting Carn, 1 Peninnis,1 Porth Mellon, 1 on Porth Cressa Beach, 1 near the Woolpack on the Garrison, 1 by the solar panels on the airfield, 1 Carn Vean, 1 Pelistry, 2 behind the bakery on St. Martin’s, 1 Chapel Down, St. Martin’s, 1 Porth Askin, St. Agnes, 1 in St. Nicholas Churchyard, Tresco, 2 Old Grimsby, Tresco and 1 Gweal Hill, Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 at the school playing field, 1 Peninnis and 1 Popplestone Fields, Bryher.

Whinchat – 1 by the solar panels on the airfield

Brambling – 1 flew over Parting Carn, 1 Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s and 1 behind the cricket pitch on St. Martin’s.

Common Redpoll – 1 on the southside of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Siskin – Several flocks of up to 60 around the islands.
