Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 still in the pines behind the Cadet Hut on the Garrison.

Woodchat Shrike – The subspecies badius “Balearic” Shrike was still on Helvear.

Glossy Ibis – 1 flew over St. Mary’s and 1 flew over St. Mary’s, both eventually landing at the eastern end of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper – The first of the autumn was 1 on Top Rock Hill, St. Martin’s.

Ortolan Bunting –2 still on Tresco, 1 on Castle Down and 1 at Old Grimsby in a field between the cricket pitch and the cattle field.

Wryneck – 1 in the quarry at Porth Wreck, near Deep Point, 1 by the turning circle on the airfield, 1in a field just east of Tolman Point, 1 on the west side of Peninnis, 1 on Middle Down and 1 on Castle Down, both Tresco.

Dotterel – 1 still on Castle Down, Tresco.

Turtle Dove – 1 again in the field north of “The Moos”, Normandy.

Hobby – 1 over Old Town

Kingfisher – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 2 at Porthloo.

Little Stint – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Whinchat – 3 below the airfield.

Tree Pipit – 1 near the turning circle on the airfield and 3 near the water treatment works, Lower Moors.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 near the water treatment works, Lower Moors.

Red-backed Shrike – The juvenile was still near Content Farm.

Ortolan Bunting – 1 still on Castle Down, Tresco and 1 on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Common Rosefinch – A “very probable” at Veronica Farm, Bryher.

Marsh Harrier – 1 hunting over Lower Moors later seen over Samson.

Wryneck – A minimum of 11 on the islands: 1 by Buzza Tower, 1 on the western side of Peninnis, 1 on the old secondary school site on the edge of Hugh Town,1 at King Charles’s Battery on the Garrison 1 in hawthorns at Maypole Triangle, 2 on Top Rock Hill, St. Martin’s and 4 on Bryher,1 at Hillside Farm, 1 on Shipman Head Down, 1 in pine behind Fraggle Rock & 1 on the track between Church Quay & Veronica Farm.

Dotterel – 1 still on Castle Down, Tresco.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 2 of Bar Point.

Golden Plover – 10 on Castle Down, Tresco.

Little Stint – 1 still from the Swarovski hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Curlew Sandpiper – 1 on Bryher Pool.

Green Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick Pool and 1from the Swarovski hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 from the Swarovski hide on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 5 on Porthloo Beach.

Common Whitethroat – 1 in the pines behind the Cadet Hut on the Garrison and 1 on the old secondary school site on the edge of Hugh Town.

Lesser Whitethroat 

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the pine belt between Porth Hellick Down & Carn Friars Farm and 1 in a garden on Church Road, Hugh Town.

Pied Flycatcher – 2 in the pines behind the Cadet Hut on the Garrison 1 near Content Farm and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Redstart – 1 King Edward’s Road, Peninnis and near Content Farm.

Whinchat – 2 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors, 1 in the pine belt between Porth Hellick Down & Carn Friars Farm, 1 in the bushes bordering Porth Hellick Pool and 2 near Content Farm.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 near Content Farm.
