Siskin – A male and a juvenile in a garden on High Lanes.

Porbeagle Shark – What was thought to be the heaviest shark to be landed in the MV Sapphire (estimated at 180-190 lb) was caught tagged and released (photo).

Dark-bellied Brent Goose – 1 at Watermill

Water Rail – A juvenile at Porth Hellick, a rare July record.

Yellow-legged Gull – 2 on the Great Pool , Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 19 on the Great Pool , Tresco.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Watermill, 2 on the Great Pool , Tresco.

Green Sandpiper – 1 on the Great Pool , Tresco.

Wood Sandpiper – 1 at Porth Hellick, moving from the pool to the beach (photo), 3 on the Great Pool , Tresco.

Knot – 1 on Tresco.

Sanderling – 200 on Tresco.

Wally the walrus was back on his pontoon in Hugh Town Harbour.

Wednesday (28/07)

Dark-bellied Brent Goose – 1 still just south of Watermill.

Ringed Plover – A pair on Porth Hellick Beach having successfully fledge one young are now sitting tight on a second clutch.

Mediterranean Gull – 2 juveniles at Porthloo.

Puffin – They are now starting to leave but still 15+ off Annet.

White Wagtail – An adult with 2 newly fledged young at New Grimsby, Tresco.

Siskin – 1 Borough Farm, Tresco.

Thursday (29/07)

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still near the school.

Dark-bellied Brent Goose – 1 still just south of Watermill at Tregear’s Porth (photo).

Common Sandpiper – 2 briefly in Old town Bay, 3 Porth Coose, St. Agnes

Whimbrel – 5 Toll’s Island, Pelistry Bay.

Wheatear – 1 Horse Point, St. Agnes.

Wilson’s Storm-petrel – 6+ on the evening Birders’ Special Pelagic 5 miles south of St.Mary’s.

European Storm-petrel – 100 on the evening Birders’ Special Pelagic 5 miles south of St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater – 1 on the evening Birders’ Special Pelagic 5 miles south of St.Mary’s.

Great Shearwater – 1 seen 1 mile of the Daymark, St. Martin’s from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance.

Common Sandpiper – 1 Porth Hellick.

Black-tailed Godwit – 1 Porth Hellick.

Cuckoo – a young bird was been fed by a Rock Pipit on Porth Hellick Down (photo).

Wally the walrus was off Bar Point.
