Hobby – 1 over Higher Town, St. Martin’s,1 over the Big Pool, St. Agnes and 1 over Higher Moors

Swift – 5 Daymark, St. Martin’s

Cuckoo – 1 calling south of Bar Point

Turtle Dove – 1 at Higher Town, St. Martin’s

Whimbrel – 1 St. Martin’s

Raven – 1 St. Martin’s

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 by the Stephen Sussex hide at Porth Hellick and 1 at the Trench Lane (Old Town) entrance to Lower Moors

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 Pelistry Bay, 1 Trenoweth, 1 in a garden behind Star Castle

Siskin – 2 flew over the Garrison

Bee-eater – 1 early evening Porth Hellick Pool and then at Carn Friars Farm (photos)

Red-rumped Swallow – 1 still around Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s from a track north of English Point, St. Martin’s

Quail –  1 flushed from a track north of English Point, St. Martin’s.

Marsh Harrier – 1 over the Golf Course also seen on St. Martin’s

Golden Oriole –  1 flew over a garden on Church Road and landed in scrub at the west end of the old secondary school site.

Tufted Duck – 6 Abbey Pool, Tresco

Swift – 2 over Buzza and 6 over Rose Hill

Lapwing – 1 Simpson’s Field, Tresco

Whimbrel – 1 St. Martin’s

Iceland Gull – 1 again in the pig field behind Star Castle

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 in elms at Carn Friars

Cuckoo – 1 calling from Gugh Plantation, 1 Tresco Abbey Gardens

Whimbrel – 10 Bryher

Iceland Gull – 1 still in the pig field behind Star Castle, 1 on the Golf Course, 2 Porthloo

Spotted Flycatcher – 2 in fields below Samson Hill, Bryher, 1 Telegraph

Bee-eater – 1 heard calling in fields behind Per Killier, St. Agnes and it or another flew ow east over Tregarthen’s hotel and later over Carn Friars towards Porth Hellick Pool

Rose-coloured starling –  1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes (photo) and 2 over Watch Hill, Bryher

Red-backed Shrike –   A female still in fields below Samson Hill, Bryher

Hawfinch – A female on a feeder in the garden of the house named ‘Turnstones’ opposite Porth Mellon.

Shoveler –  1 drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco

Swift – 6 Tresco

Marsh Harrier – 1 near the dump on Tresco

Iceland Gull – 1 flew over Hugh Town Harbour

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick

Yellow Wagtail – 1 Tresco
