Golden Oriole –  2 reported on Tresco in the past few days,  a female at the Monument and a male  Racket Town Lane

Shelduck –  5 Great Pool and 3 Abbey Pool, Tresco

Shoveler –  A drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco

Pochard – 3 drakes on Abbey Pool and a female with 5 ducklings on the Great Pool

Swift – 5 over the Turk’s Head, St. Agnes, 1 over Vane Hill, Tresco, 1 over High Lanes, 1 Little Porth

Great Northern Diver – 2 in Porth Cressa Bay, 1 Pelistry Bay 1 Pentle Bay, Tresco

Golden Plover – 1 still at Horse Point, St. Agnes

Whimbrel – 4 Porthloo Beach

Iceland Gull – 1 again on the bird table in the garden behind Star Castle

Grasshopper Warbler –1 on the north side of Pelistry

Garden Warbler –1 in fields north of the water treatment works behind Popplestone Bay

Ring Ouzel –  1 on Porthloo Lane in the field opposite Bishop View House

Yellow Wagtail – 2 in the cow field opposite Longstone Café, 2 on the Golf Course, 1 flew over the south end of Bryher

White Wagtail – 1 in the cow field opposite Longstone Café. 1 near Star Castle

Iceland Gull – 1 the garden behind Star Castle, 1 on the Golf Course, 1 Great Bay, St. Martin’s

Short-eared Owl – 1 Samson

Iceland Gull – 1 on a bird table in the garden behind Star Castle. 1 flew past Rosevean House into Ram’s Valley, 1 Porthloo, 1 Great Bay, St. Martin’s

Siskin – 1 on a garden feeder in High Lanes

Lesser Yellowlegs – 1 was found on Porth Hellick Beach late evening (photo)

Purple Heron – Presumably the injured bird seen last seen on Tuesday (04/05) was seen flying strongly out of Lower Moors towards Parting Carn, so it is to be hoped it has made a full recovery (photos)

Hoopoe – 1 in fields behind Mount Todden Farm House

Eider – A juvenile male off Skirt Island, Tresco

Red-breasted Merganser – A female off Skirt Island, Tresco

Swift – 1 over Star Castle-

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Crow Sound, 1 off Carn Morval

Little Egret – 1 flew over Gugh Bat towards Cove Vean, St. Agnes

Whimbrel – 1 in the field to the left of the approach road to Mount Flagon, 10 on St. Martin’s

Iceland Gull – 2 in the garden behind the Star Castle, 1 Porthloo

Raven – 2 by the Daymark, St. Martin’s

Ring Ouzel – 1 at Troy Town Maze, and at the Punch Bowl, Wingletang both St. Agnes

White Wagtail – 2 at Pelistry Riding Stables
