Golden Plover – 4 on the airfield

Cuckoo – The first of the year was 1 at Higher Town, St. Martin’s

Iceland Gull – 1 at Porth Mellon and another  by the Mermaid Inn later at Porthloo, probably the same on the Golf Course

Sandwich Tern – 1 Porthloo, 1 in the Roads

Sand Martin – 1 over Porth Hellick Pool

Swallow –  4 over Porth Hellick Pool

Sedge Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick

Ring Ouzel – A male on the Golf Courses, 1 in a field south of High Lanes, 1 Salakee Down

Fieldfare – 1 on the airfield

Pied Flycatcher – A female in St. Martin’s Vineyard

Wheatear – 5 on the Golf Course, 3 on Peninnis, 12 on the airfield

Shelduck – A pair on Porth Hellick Pool,1 on the sea at Lawrance’s Bay, St. Martin’s 

Shoveler –  A drake on Porth Hellick Pool

Eider – A female seen looking towards Tresco from the Golf course

Black-throated Diver – A summer-plumage bird seen looking towards Tresco from the Golf Course

Great Northern Diver – 21 seen looking towards Tresco from the Golf

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew High over Lower Moors, then over Longstone and landed in the reeds at Porth Hellick

Common  Sandpiper – 1 Bryher

Yellow-legged Gull – 1 Tresco

Iceland Gull – 2 juveniles Porthloo

Merlin – 1 Chapel Down, St. Martin’s

Cetti’s Warbler – 2 by the small pool in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors

Saturday (10/04)

Wood Warbler – 1 singing on Porth Hellick Loop

Blue-headed Wagtail – 1 in the cow field at Higher Moors

Shoveler –  The drake was still on Porth Hellick Pool

Marsh Harrier – A male flew over the airport and landed at the north end of Porth Hellick Pool

Iceland Gull – 1 Porthloo and another at Tregarthen’s Car Park

Ring Ouzel – 1 still in the field beside Porth Hellick boardwalk opposite the seaward hide

Yellow Wagtail – 1 in the cow field at Higher Moors

White Wagtail – 2 in the cow field at Higher Moors

Sunday (11/04)

Blue-headed Wagtail – 1 still in the cow field at Higher Moors

Shoveler –  3 drakes and a female on St. Agnes Pool

Marsh Harrier – The male was still moving around St. Mary’s

Whimbrel – 1 Lawrance’s Bay, St. Martin’s

Common Sandpiper – 1 on St. Agnes Pool

Iceland Gull – 2 Porthloo

Sandwich Tern – 10 at the Old Quay, St. Martin’s

Merlin – 1 on Wingletang, St. Martin’s

Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing at the start of Porth Hellick Loop Trail
